Actually Coby showed consistent improvement year to year in shooting. Jalen's stats are the same or worse in places and jalen was given the keys where as Coby had to work his way to where he is. Jalen was given too much too soon and should have his minutes dropped and should come off the bench and be forced to work for what he wants. Jalen has near 2 times the amount of starts as Coby in two less years. So in trying to use Coby as example for why Jalen should stay in his role you actually gave an example as to why people are angry with him and want to trade him. Considering Jalen is a #2 and not #7 pick it should not take him this long to just have merely average stats which most people would see that as an improvement. He's not even shooting average or mid in his third season. Thats not good those are future role player numbers,

You'd be surprised. I was flamed for saying Cam would take Green's spot one day.

all depends on what deal is to be had...

i would think his value is pretty low - so prob worth riding out the gamble on him...

but if some other team overvalues him...

or if a recent top 2 pick looks good in a poopoo platter for an all-star - u pull the trigger.

if theres a deal that overall makes sense - id be willing to sell to low...

but i aint takin no cut rate deal just to move him for the sake of moving him.

Trade him because we don't know if he'll be a superstar?

Silly imo, unless you get an allstar in the trade.

Trade him now and when his 25 and becomes an allstar you'll all be kicking yourselves.

He'll be Zach Lavine 2.0 which is not a bad thing at all paired with Sengun imo.

Let's pray the rosary on this one and see if that helps Brother Nook.

I'm no Jalen apologist but I remember Coby getting a starting spot 2 or 3 years ago and looking like hot trash. I think they even benched him. Green looked better in his rookie years.

It is going to be ugly when Stone throws him a near max extension.

Coby White did not start until his 2nd season and as you said out of necessity and Billy Donovan's first season I think......

He did not look that good and was benched again.

He only started like 50 games one season and 17 games the next season so nothing in the Jalen Green stratosphere of giftwrapping playing time.....

    (67 and 76 games started)

Exactly JG gets no calls… you can go back and watch the videos of him making layups and see people pushing his lower body or slapping down on him as he drives with no calls

He also doesn’t cry like Luka LeBron etc etc …I don’t want him turning into EG either

Jalen should not be the first of frankly second option in clutch time situations. Maybe if he’s open for a catch and short three but other than that he can not be the focal point of a possession

Weird post considering Jalen had a really good overall game. I've been a big Jalen critic as of late but 18/6/8 and 11/5/6 are stat lines you'd never see out of Jalen under Silas.

He gets the year and then we'll see. But how Cam is playing he'd be starting for sure next year.

Jalen playmaking improved last season when he started playing PG more after EG trade … 2nd and 3rd qtrs he would rack up points and assist and then 4th get freezed out by KPJ trying to get his
