    WHATTTTT??WE ARE?????

joke. No one is picking up on my humor, but at least you LYAO. Maybe I need to start adding in smilies at the end, although it hurts the delivery. Come on seriously, "Once I graduate, I'll be an employer in no time, probably as a starting position."?? I don't expect that even after I graduate from the non-profit university that was just ranked 2nd nationally for graduates best prepared and most able to succeed....because I'm a woman :(

I'm sorry but racking up thousands of dollars of debt for UoP degree is not smart. You're wife trying to get a degree in a tough situation is very admirable and I'm certainly not trying to put down her effort, but putting thousands of dollars on of UofP degree is not a smart decision. I wish the best for your wife, but she's not going to get something worthy of all the effort she put in.

You know, many people rack of thousand of dollars of debt at a 4 year university (which cost more than UofP) and end up in that same situation.

I posted this in the last thread that we had bashing for-profit universities. In a previous job, I helped out some with recruiting. We had "off-limits" schools, where we wouldn't hire a fresh graduate from because of the number of bad experiences in the past. They were all second-tier public universities with reputations as party schools. At that company, for-profit universities weren't necessarily respected, but they were definitely held in a higher light than those.

Yes and that exactly shows why a UofP degree is worth its value.

An indictment of the for profits isn't an exoneration of the regular univiersities. They can both be useless when it comes to educationg people and making them more employable.

But I'd bet some of the "party school" grads went there to party. So, at least they got that out of their 4 years, if not a job.

I was about to scoff at this claim until I read their Wiki page. Didn't think you could actually "ponzify" food products; but $258 motivational training tapes for the sales people, coupled with the $39/bottle sticker price for the drink itself, wow.
