My gay friends tell me that there are no one that hate gays as much as closeted gays. They all used to hate themselves before they came out.

Ah yes lets ignore all the other women who accused trump of rape. under oath. what a pedo defender.
She also didn't even say he wasn't involved in that excerpt. She does not remember which doesn't mean trump is absolved.

TJ is just a mouthpiece for Republican Party hetrodoxy.

Don't think of.him as a person, think of him as a Fox News press release, and he makes a whole lot more sense in the scheme of the universe and is much more ignorable.

He's going to parrot team talking points and never come off them. Thinking otherwise is folly.

Like there are much more disturbingly comitted far right guys here, but none more commited to sticking to the approved talking points, and that's fine. Everybody needs a shtick, and TJ is one of the most consistent and commited to his, and he never loses control or flies off the handle or gets personal, just like a press release. I genuinely am impressed about how well he sticks to his character over a span of nearly decades.

But until the Republican Party leadership changes its mind, he won't change his. You shouldn't work yourself up in putsuit of such a quixotic goal.

He's a machine in the best possible sense of the word, but you will be happier if you approach his posts like he is one in the worst possible sense of the word.

I don't think its actually a person anymore.

Even before LLM's I'm sure there were bot posters here and the stylistic evolution of some of the more prolific MAGA posters over the past few years looks really bot-tish in terms of its timing - seemingly overnight, posters repudiated previous stances and began posting them at spam-level scale right when disinfo bots got really big.

Hard to tell if they're disinformation bots or just reacting to it, but as you say, the effect is basically the same for a reader so we should all mostly just ignore.

(unlike of course, the EPSTEIN FILES which cannot be ignored no matter how mad it makes the bots)

TJ is a professional troll. I think some of the older posters have had a beer with him. He just enjoys the game and getting under people's skin. He's not dumb like some of his accomplices. I don't always respect his posts but I respect his ability to be as consistent as he's been over the last 25 years.

I worked on the House side of the HIll in the mid-80s and like now, it was no secret that there was a significant group of closeted Republicans who were some of the most rabid "family values" types around. Certainly more than 10, likely more than 20. It would not surprise me if the percentage has trended up since then--shout out to the Freedom Caucus.

There were a couple of Dems who were rumored to be closeted, but they were chill and to be fair, there was also a group from both parties who tried to score with as many female staffers and interns as they could. One guy only hired good-looking women for his staff--not a soul was male. He had a "Good Time." Not a lot of Mr. Smiths around, though there were some.

When you think of politics as a way to improve upon or take revenge for one's high school standing, it often makes more sense.

They are mad at themselves for being attracted to men and they are mad at openly gay people because they are free. I didn't understand it until I had a heart to heart with one of my very flamboyant gay friends. I never would have thought that at any point in his life that he ever hated himself for being gay. He said it took a lot of courage and lost his family for a while growing up in the conservative midwest.

I seem to remember many high schoolers back in my day running for student council, promising things like no homework and three-day school weeks if they were elected. Of course the winners delivered on none of their promises.

Looking back, though, those kids seemed to have really active social lives, if only on campus.

I guess they knew something us regular kids didn't.

Agreed. Although the question is intellectual machine? Industrial(ist) machine? Sexual machine? So many possibilities!
