Like "we" stopped talking about Benghazi, Hillary's emails, Hunter Biden's laptop, Joe Biden's cognitive decline, etc.

It is just like ... you want to stop talking about events in the past when it is politically advantageous to your political interests to do so,

    Just like.

Yes, and this is the problem.

If the Democrats do well in 2028 and take the Whitehouse and the House and Senate (which is possible as we are in a volatile world), we are going to see investigations launched into Trump and Epstein. If things get bad enough, and the Republicans that are anti-Trump eventually take the Republicans back, we are going to see investigations into Trump and Epstein.

Trump is corrupt - he is a bad actor and he has only set bad precedent. However, he is going to be 83 years old at the end of his term, and throwing him in jail would cause political violence and unrest. At some point the focus needs to turn from how big a piece of **** the President is, and an effort to advance the country. The legacy of Trump and Biden and all of the other idiots will be decided by history.

"Hmm... Mr. Valdez, based on a post you made on April 8th 2005, it is my understanding that you are French. As I am sure you understand, we are protecting good Americans from foreign interlopers that cause crime. Do you have your papers available showing that you and your parents were born in the United States. It would be a shame if you were to end up in Moga Dishu for future handling."

Did you ever think you would have that thought about an American President in your life time?

    You are kidding right?
The Democrats will come with some bullsh*t about leaving the past in the past
and trying to heal the country . . . so they don't have to DO ANYTHING
They will simply let it all go and be happy they in power
and can undo 10% of the bullsh*t and implement about 5% of the bullsh*t they want

No - the Democrats have already tried to impeach him twice, and we have ZERO idea of what the Democrats will be like in 2028 as they lack any real leadership right now. By default it is Sanders and AOC at this point with a bunch of other idiots trying to emerge like Booker.

    Maybe they’re simply misfiled . . . I wonder if they’ve checked under “Epistein”

After the electoral smackdown they got for trying to do the right thing after Trump I, I seriously doubt any future Democrat will take that risk again. My intuition is with Rocket River -- they'll avoid provoking MAGA resentments and also adopt half of Trump's platform to improve their appeal to the working class. Ultimately, no justice for Trump. To your point, it will be the historians who write the record on what a piece of crap Trump is, not the courts and not the politicians.

    I actually disagree

2020 Democrats just wanted to move in and " effectively govern" or try to do the "right thing" ... I'm sure ppl on the right disagree what the right thing is , but I bet both sides would agree dems had good intentions.

That was bidens whole campaign... Return to normalcy

IMO , there is no going back . Based on the energy trumps policies have stirred up ... The Dems are going to have to fend off (aka bend the knee to) their left much more .

I would find it hard to believe that revenge , andr retaliation are not on the docket

Maybe not to trump , but what about his voters and red states ?

Obviously the right rhetoric will have to be found and it will be a fine line . But Trump has made one thing clear ... It's about winning and power.

Dems can never be soft again. Why go high and get hamstrung when you can go low and win ?

Imo it's like a pendulum and the further right and authoritarian we go during Trump , the more vicious and left we will go in the future .

What benefits to Democrats get by working with the people that voted on a catastrophic bill that destroys lives (their own words and probably a likely effect of this bill) ?

Investigations are definitely the wrong way to go . Just say whatever you want and it becomes truth (like trump) and bully to whatever extent needed to fulfill your goal.

Trump has the blueprint for an authoritarian takeover of our democracy and basically stripping the opposition of it's power. Now all that needs to happen is that a guy who's 50 or 60 does it vs 80 and goodbye any semblance of moderation .

My general point is that the Epstein saga has largely become a giant nothing burger. A wealthy playboy who liked to flaunt his wealth. Freely transported people all around the country and anyone who took a ride got on the 'Epstein list' that meant absolutely nothing. And like many wealthy people, Epstein felt the rules didn't apply to him and he thought he could freely hand out prostitutes, many who were underaged. And like many rich people, he was a despicable person who belonged in prison.

But, like JFK, Trump seized the opportunity to round up the votes from the conspiracy theorist.

Perhaps I am wrong, but at the point, nothing to see with Epstein that we dont already know ... just like JFK.

They are Klansmen or Klansmen adjacent at best
