Tmac isn't playing because he and doc Brown are going back to 1995 to convince Tmac to play baseball and not basketball. The problem is Tmac punched in 1975 instead and now they are stuck in the past with no plutonium to power the flux capacitor. Mr. Fusion is on the fritz.
Funny stuff. In two years when we need another why is XXX Player not playing poll, I'm coming to you for the who cares/fluff/cake/pie option.
Because they want to make sure he's actually a 100%, and not 75% so his fan boys can make another excuse saying he wasn't healthy and we should give him a 30th try.
Right now I say it's because he just isn't ready, but when he is either/both of the other options may begin to apply.
Heres what maid me really thing today about T-Mac not playing... How the hell was T-Mac cleared to play last year when he was hobbling on one leg and was in pain the whole time? His movement even looked better in those recovery videos then in the 08-09 season. He even thinks he is ready to play right now and there not letting him? Theres something against T-Mac right now and if it keeps up something bad will turn out. Just let him play.
@ DD You mentioned Tmac only has a value as a "contract" Almost true, but you forget the idea that he comes back, and does look well enough, that a team in the upper echelon of the league is willing to part with assets and filler because they believe that best case they are over the top or better off in the playoffs. Then, the worst case is losing said assets and having capspace to show for it. I think the Rockets are holding out seeing if something like that could ever transpire withot him really playing. Maybe.
Normally you would be right, but is contract is so large that they would have to GUT their team to even acquire him. $23 million is a lot of money, and a large portion of the salary cap, so any team that is in contention would have to include players that got them there, and none of them would be willing to take that risk.
