    you are proving my point.

For Tracy, it's always a "IF HEALTHY", why can't we just say what he DID or DID NOT do?

I can't predict what Maxwell would do, all I know is what HE DID do.

He DID LEAD the Rockets in the first championships in ASSISTS (topic).

The 2nd is not a measuring stick for success. It's that if you are considered a top superstar you have certain responsibilities.

Maxwell was a role player and he played to his responsibilities.

The burden of leading his team to the championship was on HAKEEM.

Tmac has the same burden and has failed and the fact that for over 12 seasons, his fans claim that his teammates suck is absurd.

maxwell was an underrated all-around player. despite how the team and he fell out, i always got love for max. i appreciate talent and what players bring to the floor, and maxwell brought a ton of both.

I don't know if it has anything to do with doublestandards as much as you can't even go into a thread about TMac without somebody pissing all over it. I don't even follow TMac threads anymore - they all turn into junk. And it's basically because of the same handful of posters. It's even more asinine because the TMac argument gets carried over to other threads that don't even have anything to do with TMac. And don't think for one minute you're somehow innocent in all of it. You're definitely a part of it.

The crap gets old. People are sick of it. Maybe R2k's just sick of it more than others. I know I'm tired of walking into a thread about Tmac only to get caught up in the same garbage as always. Yours is the worst case because it's not just arguing Tmac's pros and cons... you pull players from 15 years ago out of your butt as some kind of defense... and it's always players from 15 years ago. And of all people - Vernon Maxwell?? Give me a break.

Maxwell is a good choice cause he's always a historically polarizing player.

And I know that people will go off topic and that people will have different views.

BUT, nobody gets deleted for using facts or opinions.

The 'his teammates' suck argument, I thought was put to rest after the Rockets fantastic playoff run without him, and to an extent without Yao.

Every Maxwell thread in the history of Clutchfans turns into something about his personal life or his exit from the Rockets and we let that go cause we know it happens.

But for Tracy McGrady, be careful what you write cause you might get censored. And for that topic with the bad spelling of his 'passing'. I never said he was a bad passer, I'm just reacting to people who claim his teammates always sucked.

And I did stay on topic, I mentioned there was no videos of him passing because the people who made the videos prefer him scoring points or dunking.

you deserve a prize too for not making a single post pertaining to this topic.

And yes, it's predictable based on your user name.

Vernon was underrated throughout his career as a passer. I believe he had a career average of 3.5 assists a game which is very solid.

    One thing to remember here...

...in that Finals series against the Knicks, it was no secret John Starks and Derek Harper were having their way with both Kenny Smith and Vernon Maxwell. If it wasn't for Sam Cassell, I doubt that the series would have made it back to Houston.

Everybody was ready to run both Maxwell and Smith out of town on the back of a goose if they didn't step up and play better. Believe me, nobody would have blamed Hakeem had the Rockets lost...

...they would have blamed Maxwell and Smith. But the Rockets would have lost all the same. You know how it goes...

...Players play the game. But TEAMS win the ring....

not really. i didn't make this post cause I think Tracy could or couldn't pass well.
I just made it to prove that people like you, could go troll on a thread and not talk about the subject and not receive any threats from R2K.

yet when others talk about tracy mcgrady on a tracy mcgrady thread, they get warned or they get their post deleted.

R2K deleted the post where I referring to how Toronto was successful one year post Tmac after someone said his teams have always sucked.

I didn't say that I hate him or that his i hate his mom or anything, I just talked hoops.

But Maxwell, as you can see draws lots of people off topic. I can post something about Maxwell eating at Whataburger, not a single reply would be about it.

    but no warnings. no threats.

this is true because the Rockets have had deep playoff success with Hakeem.

So it was ALREADY proven that Hakeem could take the Rockets far, he even won the MVP.

If Hakeem never made it past the first round in 12 seasons, then it's time he gets a big share of the blame. But that was not the case, there was no question about this guy's durability and leadership.

well, when players face adversity, how they respond shows you what kind of players they are.

Kenny and Vernon had their best games back in Houston to finish off the Knicks!

    Happy story! :D

All you do is bash tmac in every thread possible then as your defense like dr. dunk said, you post pictures of vernon maxwell as your defense.
