My non-moving 2 legged vertical is ~24 inches (I know - not that great) but my running 1 legged vertical is like 7 inches or something. I don't understand how people can generate so much force with just one leg - even considering they're using a great deal of momentum. Can anyone give me any advice on how to increase my running vertical? I don't want to pay for an expensive program that'll probably end up being a scam when all I want is a few pointers. Thanks.
There are different types of jumper. You got your leaper, the guy like lebron that has insane one leg dunks. You got your two foot power dunker, a guy like Blake Griffin. Then you have your plyometric jumper that needs to get a hop step to jump monstrous, like Vince. Walking lunges are excellent for one leg dunkers or first step explosion.
True. look at them crazy hops! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/dCGqi1mUtsA?list=UU72UbMb16_Vs_zHRNiGVWJQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Lol really? My comment screams LOF? Somebody is a bit sensitive this morning. I have been here long before you. .....Much longer than your running vert
I have been here a long time. Bet it really gets the girls wet when you tell them that. Taking a random thread topic and tying it back to Lin is pretty characteristic of LOFs. And so what you've been here a long time? You were probably a YOF before you were a LOF.
Yea to got me pal, I'm on this basketball site for the girls. I love this, I've been called a Lin only fan and a hater on this forum. Life is complete! Why did i reference it? Umm I don't know, maybe it was because it was a positive from our last game where Lin, who is a houston rocket, showed that he had a decent running vert with that dunk. And you know, this is a HOUSTON ROCKETS FORUM, so it kind of relates. And I'm not going to argue my fandom with you. I forgot more about the rockets than you actually know. So relax bro, transfer your anger and go work on that running vert
There are lots of articles online about increasing vertical jump: www.askmen.com/sports/bodybuilding_150/194_fitness_tip.html http://www.insidehoops.com/gym/jump-higher.shtml http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/drsquat18.htm http://scottthom.com/
Running vertical of 7"... is this possible for a human being with knee and ankle joints? OP, do you bend your knees when you run?
