Why is Galveston's water so dirty?

The little black bits of tar sticking on the bottom of your feet sometimes are from ancient deposits. Yes, that's it!

 

Actually oil does come from ancient deposits.

 

That's what I said. Yes, that's it!

 

I hate surfing with cabbage-head jelly fish. They give me the heeby-jeebies.

 

I have to say, I LOVE Galveston!!! I know many people don't..but I have some terrific memories from Galveston.

there's so much history there...good seafood...quiet evenings on the beach, with that breeze that blows...tremendous storms!!...the Strand (again, more history!)...fishing...boating...and you can sit on the deck of a beachhouse, listen to the 'stros and the surf...and just chill. man, i love that place!! i hope i end up making enough money to afford a beachhouse down there.

 

Have any of you been to South Beach in Miami?? It is THE BEST place for people watching. There is an endless stream of models walking up and down the street. On several different occasions I've been there when a tv show is being shot or there is a model shoot going on on the beach. Oh, the water is blue and the sand is white.
