Thanks for the not-so-cleverly-disguised "Shaq is better than Yao" thread. We've all been waiting for someone to FINALLY start a thread on this topic. Apart from the other hundred, that is.
Why would you not want to show this game? Are you afraid of how Yao will look against Shaq? I'd be willing to bet that Yao is excited about this game. Never cower!
that would mean shaq would actually have to play D so no chance of that happening. and even if that happened, the refs would actually have to call something on him, even less likely (note the chris webber body slam on christmas day that was a no call). so i don't look for shaq to foul out. as for ratings, no idea what the record is, but this is only espn, not a big network so no chance it breaks the record (i would think). and what sucks is the lakers are starting to play good (just destroyed seattle) at least at home and this is in LA right? so i'm not too confident we win. hell even if it's in houston i'm not confident.
OH BOY!! Finally...just what the board has been missing... Another Yao Will Get Destroyed By Shaq Thread.... Whatever would we do without your keen observational abilities? Yao will hold his own, bank on it.
Yeah I think every network is going to drop their programming and carry the game. It will be on every channel that your TV can tune in. I also heard the game will be held at Reliant Stadium so that all of the network announcers can be accommodated.
What's next? A Rocket fan that doesn't want to see the Rockets win the championship this year because he doesn't want to see the Rockets peak to early in Yao and Steve's career.
I want to see this matchup, and don't get me wrong, I am big Yao defender, but I fear Shaq will embarass Yao. I just hope not.
