Why is Deke on the team? He should be getting some minutes. It's crazy to think we can just bring him out in the playoffs with no playing time with the team, (in games).

He's good for crazy ass bounce passes that don't have a snowballs chance in hell of being successful.

    you must be young...

You save veteran bullets till the end. There is risk of draining the tank/injury. He's also insurance for the regular season...he still efficient at 3s

He also is a sort of player-coach that understands what coaches want on the practice floor and can easily lead by example

Brent Barry was signed to be a veteran SG, who could handle the point if he has to, as well as provide a reliable 3 point shooter.

So far, he has really had time to find his shot after getting off to a slow start early in the season. But his experience has no doubt had an influence on developing our younger guards like Wafer and Brooks. Really, I personally wish he would get more minutes but the way Adelman runs the team, he rarely goes to more then 3 people from off the bench even when the starters are not producing.

I am sure if he got some more playing time, he would be able to work out the kinks and be a solid enough player for us, come playoff time. But really only time will tell how everyone handles whatever seed we draw.

A simply answer, we thought he would be very good, but he is just not good, and you should not cut him, still can use him if we need him. Overall this guy just disappoints the fans.

I'm pretty sure no one though he'd VERY good. Everyone knows he's mostly a spot up shooter and is old, we got him for his experience, mentoring, and shooting. It's that simple. You want to go ask the Celts why they got Cassell?

hayes/battier/deke are perfect as the 9th/10th/11th guys. They can help the team the moment they step on the court. They do not need 15 minutets to warm up. And they do not cry for PT and they cheer for the teammates all the time. What else can you ask for?

I was listening to the Kevin Murphy show during the Barry signing, he was arguing with another host by saying that impact of Barry on the team would be just like Drexel siging, I was laughing for that, but still thought he would be much a better player. The thing distubed me most is that Barry made the stupid turnovers you should never see from this kind of player (37 year old).

    He's here for the playoffs.

He'll get some playing time when its crunch time & we need a big time 3.

I never liked the signing and that had nothing to do with him as a person. I just thought of what the rox needed and was trying to do, he didn't fit. My main argument even before the artest deal went down was, if one of our wings go down, can he play 30-35 mins? The answer was no. Can he play against Utah and defend his position? Once again the answer was no. Can he slash and finish? Again, the answer was no. I thought a guy like Matt Barnes made more sense because he answers those questions better. Having a smallish, weak, slow, old 2 guard that can't defend his position, can't finish or slash, didn't make sense to me.
