I wondered about this myself. Figured Sampson just doesn't coach the same as McHale. This was a back to back! Brooks has the ability to be a spark off the bench, but Sampson hasn't figured out how to use Brooks that way. Brooks was signed as 3rd PG, but with Lin coming back from injury and back to back, I thought he could have played to take some minutes.
They are trying to pump Lin's trade value to package with Omer. This is also why Lin has been sitting out with an "injury" and "struggling" upon his return. Lin will get better as soon as Omer is out the door and the trade risk lowers.
I would like to see Harden's minutes cut down a bit, slide Lin to the 2 and have Brooks spells Beverley for around 10 minutes or so.
Just because Lin is back doesn't mean AB should be out. There's so many options to find him some minutes. Cut down Hardens minutes and slide Lin over to the 2 like someone said. This frees up time for the PG spot to have AB fill in. Cut into Beverly's minutes when the opposing PG isn't an offensive threat. Cut into Lin's minutes when he's in passive mode. You can tell very early in the game by his body language.
Could you really see the mass explosion on this board if AB were to cut into Lin's minutes. OMG!!!! It would be crazy on this board... I mean some people are already having fits with Lin's minutes right now... T_Man

Sarcasm? Even during the 5 game winning streak when AB played heavy minutes w/Lin out? Interesting is this trust issue that you speak of.
Brooks is a defensive liability but he usually makes up for it. He had the highest +/- during that 6 game span.
Brooks is my fav pg on team. Wanted to see him play while televised. Not saying he should start but his offense is too good to just boot out of rotation. The thing I do like though is seeing how it hasn't appeared to effect his mood as he has clearly been cheering on team while on bench.
Aaron Brooks is the third string PG. He played when Harden and Lin were injured but they are back and healthy now. This leaves no spare minutes. Lin takes all the extra minutes behind Beverley and Harden. Does Brooks deserve to play ahead of Beverley and Lin? No. I love the guy, but no.
