Myopia can happen on both sides. Read above post for proof. It certainly isn't mine. Quit trying to pigeonhole and generalize based on something you read.
there are many reasons why i wouldn't support Obama, or would prefer McCain, but only one reason I can'tsupport Obama, or rather one word: WIN. he can't say it, at least in the context of Iraq (he has no problem with saying in regarding the elction). if he could, i think you'd be looking at a much different electoral dynamic.
LOL...I'm not commenting on this issue based on what I've read on here. I'm basing it on people I know and the world around me.
That is so bogus. Winning indicates there are goals to be met for victory. The first goal was finding WMD of which there were none (WIN?), the second goal was regime change (WIN?), the third goal was capturing Saddam (WIN?), the fourth goal was Iraqi elections (WIN?), the fifth goal was training the Iraqi military (WIN?), the sixth goal was ? Nobody has outlined when we've finally won but anything short of winning (whenever that is) is waiving the white flag of surrender. It's the most absurd mission creep in US history.
That's different than what TJ said. TJ said 'He be ridin dirty.' That is different than "He was riding dirty"
That is a concern. If we leave Iraq in worse shape than when Saddam was running the show, that doesn't make us safer. That breeds more hate for America. But I trust Obama moreso than I trust McCain in bringing this conflict to an end the right way.
yeah, I thought he was saying wright said "he be" but if trader took his quote and did that to it, how can casyh not see it as offensive. oh, its caseyh
Way to move the goalposts yet again. This is ridiculous. Bernie Kerik was teaching Iraq "police" within the first year. There are areas of every major US city that on any given night aren't being "policed" appropriately. Do US cities require US Army invasion after every 7-11 holdup, every drug sale? This goal is impossible because it's attainment is so very tenuous, and entirely subjective.
No, not at all. Ebonics is fine to use at home or in acceptable casual situation with people who aren't using it to mock others. When it is inserted falsely to make fun of someone, by a person who hasn't the faintest idea what ebonics are then yes it is offensive.
i could see your point if it were not for the fact that when i hear "riding dirty" i hear it like the song says it, with a "he be"
