I "amire" your passion, but we are only 24 hours into free agency. Trust the All Mighty Morey!

Because we have a smart and patient GM who knows that one big mistake can cancel out half a dozen smart moves.

Because Scola and Battier have more value at the deadline.

Because Morey isn't going to move a major piece until he's sure he has no chance of acquiring little Ricky from Minnesota.

Because only a fraction of the available free agents are young enough for a rebuilding plan.

Because Morey wants to have cap room for the 2010 free agent bonanza.

Because added veterans will only hurt our draft position and hurt our cap space.

    How about that?

    OK I GOT IT!
-I say we trade tracy mcgrady, brent barry, and cook, for rip hamilton and tayshawn prince!
    - Sign Gortat
    - Resign Von Wafer
    - Ron may all walk away..

So our line without yao will be:

    Brooks/lowry
    richard hamilton/von/taylor
    shane battier/prince
    scola/landry
    gortat/hayes/dorsey

and then yao comes back by the all star break, and there we go! ...
we will now be an even better contending team! so heads up! never underestimate the heart of a champ! go rockets baby! go rockets!!!!!!! :)

Lol give it time..... we cant even sign anyone till july 8th. Free agency just started plus its not that great of a free agency class. From whats going on in the NBA, we are doing the best thing possible. IMHO, the 2010 free agency class is over rated. Most of the guys in that class will have aged well, plus, we only have so much to offer. The way the team looks now, it would be an exciting team to watch run the floor without cocky super stars.

I wish the Pistons would do that deal but I am sure some deal will be done to get something for TMac by the 8th of July.

The Rockets are making a slow and very methodical move for John Wall.

I'm glad the Rockets aren't rushing into things. They're very good already and just need to add the right players. Seeing Jefferson go to the Spurs and Carter to Orlando was kind of demoralizing, because either would have been great for the Rockets, but the Rockets have a lot to work with (contracts, talent and most importantly an owner willing to spend), so I'm confident it will work out. I hope they look at working a trade for Rip Hamilton or Stoudemire. If they can't get a center via free agency, I hope they make a run at Chandler or Camby. But Gortat, at his age, might be a better move. You have to think if the money was the same and it came down starting or coming off the bench, he'd want to start.

Wow the trades mentioned here are so unrealistic. Damn this is some Nba Live crap.

Why havent we made any moves yet?

It is still too early. Baby you got it slow you dont wanna appear desperate. And doing too much.... trading makes you appear like a slut. So baby lets take it slow so it will be nice and easy ;)

We can be at least sure about McGrady now. He is staying.

I do belive we should consider moving battier for a guy who can score the ball since Ron and Yao are pretty much gone.

These are some moves to consider (minus Yao and Ron)

Rockets trade T-Mac, Aaron Brooks, Chase Budinger to the Clippers for Baron Davis and Marcus Camby.

Rockets trade Carl Landry, Kyle Lowry, Brent Barry, and Brian Cook to he Pistons for Rip Hamilton

Sign Jason Williams to vet minimum.

Sign Antonio McDyess with MLE (If Gortat does'nt come here)

    Starters:

    PF - Scola

    SF - Battier

    C - Camby

    SG - Hamilton

    PG - Davis

    Bench:

    PG - Williams

    SG/SF - Taylor

    PF/C - McDyess

Morey is patiently trying to fix the team. He knows one wrong impulsive move could cause years to fix. It is times like this that any move could be a make or break type of a situation. It might be best not to move but anything could happen and things change very fast.
