I think it's an issue all millenials have. The average post college kid does stay at their parent's homes an extra year or 3... I guess young women are victims because we're supposed to take charge and kick ass yadda yadda yadda and other chivalry bull****. Let's just leave out the fact that some girls just want to have fun too and don't want long term relationships that might disrupt their careers. Blaming your target audience is a no no.
I was under the assumption that everyone would understand the reference. No explicit citations needed.

I think the stereotype is off. I think the guys who fit that profile exactly are a very tiny number. Most only fit a couple of those things. Most of the guys I know still go out a lot and drink alot, and few are married. However, most of them have good jobs and most have serious girlfriends. Guys are definitely putting off marriage. But when the divorce rate is 60%, why would you rush into it?
I thought it was already known that guys don't ever grow up? Guys can get away with it because they don't have a biological clock ticking away...they can father a child when they're in their 40's, 50's and so on. With us, women, it's kind of hard wanting to have fun when you want a good amount of kids without endangering your health, i.e. having kids in your 40's. I've always said I wanted to wait until I'm in my 30's but I'm starting to think that I should hurry and have kids if I want more than 3. Eh, thanks to the biological clock.
I was born a few weeks before my mom's 29th birthday (I'm the oldest), and my youngest sister was born about 6 weeks before her 35th birthday. I figure things will be fine if I have children in a fashion similar to her timeline... I'm not worried
