    Here is my two cents....

    1. Yao has always been described as a player that will improve gradually. So give it more time....

    2. Yao comes from a family and a culture of working hard, I dont think the guy will ever stop trying to get better and better and that work ethic will lead to him being an great if not excellent basketball player.

    3. To trade Yao for good role players is idiotic... Yao's potential far exceeds what role players could offer. Any GM with half a brain rolls the dice on Yao vs against Yao.

    4. T mac and Yao need more time to develop into the greatness they can be. Keep in mind that pick and roll they've been doing lately.

Lastly, I read somewhere that Yao could jump out of the gym before he injured his calf or sprained his ankle. Everytime the guy gets fronted I just think about great Yao would be if he could jump.

    Go YAO!

I agree, this is the weakess set of comments I have ever heard. These one note johnnies are redicuous. Yao Ming....so what? I think I'm getting sick of his name already. Because he's some kind of mental giant he doesn't swing his elbows ? This isn't basketball, just idol worship. Bring back Lew Alcindor please. Or maybe Elvin hayes, any man will do. Yao is soft as a roll of charmin and acts as tough as wet toilet paper. He is a big contract for small numbers, mabe consistant, but so what ? BTW, just where is this so called passing wizard's passes? Any tall kid can throw it over the little kids ! Let's see if he ever gets those ball bearings he is alledged to have. I doubt it. Too much oatmeal not enough red meat.

Then who are max players? Gasol? Randolph? KMart? Francis?
Walker? Brand? Jamison? ... Are you saying all NBA GMs are
stupid? At least 70% of max players dont deserve their contract.
Even from pure baskeball standpoint, a 19/9 center at 24 will
get max contract from most GMs. Centers are much better paid
than other positions. It's market demand that determines the
    price. Deal with it.

Exactly what is a max player? GMs all over the league have given max contracts to players (J. Howard, Penny, etc) that are worse than Yao. Even though Yao is not as consistent as i would like him to be, he should still get the max deal.

IIRC, I believe Bill Duff is his agent.
