He played behind Camby in portland and has a similar body and style of play. He is a defensive specialist, can hit the open jumper and I remember his playing really well in the playoffs vs Dallas last year. We need a 3rd big for insurance in case we somehow get in the playoffs and Camby isn't 100%. I think Chris is the best 7 footer out there since New Orleans waived him last night and yes he's thin but he is serge ibaka-diet.....yes lighter than lite and we could use a high energy birdman-type.

What's the difference. Ppat and Dalembert have been out with concussions the last week or so.

Even if you get him, he's not eligible for the playoffs.

I could be wrong, but I don't think he would be available for our playoff roster because there is a deadline for guys that were already on another team's roster.

To tall for Houston lineups we only take undersized centers

So what. He's still worth a look even if we have to drop Fortson.

o ok i thought you just had to be on an nba roster by a certain time, didn't know had to be ours. He is a nice 7 footer that if we could inject with 20 lbs of muscle reminds me of birdman

Is there a rule where waived players have to clear 30 days after being waived before they can be signed by a team? Or is that 30 days before they can re-sign with their old team. Maybe it was last years rule. I forgot which.
