Rockets WCF. Kings lottery. Three untouchable players: Howard, Harden, Ariza. Without these 3, no WCF.
that amount of stupid pills would kill their GM - acute stupidity overdose. you need to build up a tolerance over time, like Billy King in Brooklyn.
apparently watching every rockets game makes me a box score watcher. Sorry guys, didn't mean to make a stupid thread. Just wanted to hear opinions, not bs sarcasm.
I dont see you guys sh!tting on the people that want to risk losing Brew, Smith and or Bev for untested Euro trash named Llull.
I think they key thing people do not understand in the world of the NBA, is that even if a trade makes sense for basketball reasons there are several other factors that go into play. 1.) Dan Fegan. Google his clients. There you go.
So Dan Fegan would toss one of his best clients (Dwight Howard) away to an organization like the Kings why? So his younger client can go to a better team? How does that look for business? It has been mentioned on here by those close to agencies that they agents tend to make a higher % on the marketing/advertising portion than on the NBA contract itself. The % on the contract they get is very small relative to marketing dollars. I don't know how much Dwight has signed in total, but his one Adidas contract was for $300M.
Because the Kings aren't trading Cousins who may bolt for Dwight who absolutely will bolt after next season. Plus, Cousins could very shortly be a superior player to Dwight. You could argue he is already depending on how much you weigh offense vs. defense.
I'm surprised to see that no one is discussing trading James Harden for Lebron James. Sure, he doesn't shoot as effectively from the line, but I still think it's worth a look.
The Rockets can not risk the anger of Fegan, and other NBA stars, by trading Howard without his wish to be traded... .... UNLESS!! There is one trade i can see making sense. The guts of which would be: Howard to the Knicks #4 pick to the Kings Cousins to the Rockets You'd have to find a way to get it to work with the cap, though I think the Knicks will be way under the cap, so maybe it's doable. Sacramento would probably want more. You also have the #18 pick, TJones, Nick Johnson to throw-in. There's still zero chance of something like that happening, but it'd be the onyl way it can happen. Dwight teams up with Melo, in the East, in NYC. Potentially he and his agent are still happy.
Because no star free agent would ever trust the Rockets if they traded a player who took a pay cut to sign with them.
What??? Howard + Harden for Cousins???? It would probably take that. While the Kings are a dumb franchise they are not that dumb. If Sacramento comes calling with a Cousins for Howard trade???? I would do it 10 times out of 10 and so would Morey.
