If Kidd wants to win, don't the Rockets with a developing Yao and a maturing Francis and who knows whomelse among Cat, Cato, MoT, Griffin, Nachbar, TMo, Moochie have about as good a shot as anybody over the next 8 or so years? With a maestro such as Kidd running the show, that gaggle of talent better resembles a team. Kidd's never played with a Center as star-certified as Yao. He's never played with a SG as expolosive as Francis-- and they are both young. A special note: I never proposed it as a trade. My conjecture was about signing Kidd as a FA. They would surely have to clear cap space but as the old saying goes: where there's a will there's a way.
If the Rox didn't have Cato, Mo, and Moochie's inflated contracts, we would have a chance at Kidd. A sign N trade involving Cat could happen. but with those terrible contracts we have with those 3 players I mentioned, there is no way it will happen.
