Why doesn't NBA allow this anymore?

    My bad. That was horrible.

Kobe would be able to play back in the day along w/ Zach Randolph and maybe Marc Gasol

Dwight and Pau would get demolished.

It's not allowed because all this generation wants to do today is fight. It wouldn't even be about basketball anymore. Back then it was about the competition and getting inside your opponent's head. There would be so much violence even in the crowd and outside the arenas today. Times have changed. Sad but true.

Because it encourages the possibly career threatening Metta World Peace elbow in James Harden's head if you allow too many senseless takedowns.

Though verbal trash talk, that should always be okay.

Thats kinda true in SOME ways

If you watch the Dream Team documentary, you could see ALL the players had a cocky COMPETITIVE demeanor. All about getting an edge, mostly all within realm of SPORTSMANSHIP. As douchy as Kobe is, its all business with him in that same way.

Guys now just arent geared in that same BE-A-MAN mindset as past generations. I think its more that everyone is FRIENDS and not so violent now really. There isnt any BITTER RIVALRIES, because players keep in regular contact with each other on Twitter and everything. Guys are trying to do SUPERFRIEND teams.

I don't think the NBA is as soft as it seems either. There's not as many "enforcers" but you still have to have a certain amount of confidence and fortitude about yourself to get the to top level. Omer Asik has gotten bloodied and bones broken several times already, that doesnt happen from the league being total pansies.
