What a waste of a thread.

How can you say in the same post that Yao always gets a free pass AND that you could dig up countless old threads about how terrible Yao is and how he's the root of all the Rockets' problems?

You should compare Rafer with Tmac, which would be better thread. Yao gets a free pass? An answer is no. Have you seen "Yao is a big liability thread" after a bad game (Boston game) from Yao. By the way, If the rockets can not pass the first round this year (real Yao team since he joined the team), Trade Yao thread will come out very quickly, I promise you.

Yes and Yao works his ass off to get back as soon as possible from any injury he sustains.

LOLOLOL HAHAHHAHA wow clutch!!!!! I know for a fact your not comparing 2 guards and a forwards shooting percentage to a center. LOL Yao is right there under the basket. Don't you think his percentage should be higher than the other 3?? LOL that was funny

"Hey Yao you shouldn't get a free pass"

    Yao: " Can I write a check"

bcz he cares about team, that why.
diffrence between Yao and Tmac is that yao has more desire than Tmac.Yao would do whatever takes to help team win the games.

Free pass? Heh, remember all the trade threads after he went down? How about the hate he got for those couple of embarrassing missed dunks at the beginning of the season? Yeah, free pass all right.

People have short memories or need to rationalize their irrational support of something/someone else. At least that's what people keep saying about Tracy in reference to last year and how he carried the team. It might as well apply to Yao. At some point it will apply to Artest.

I remember all of those missed dunks and lack of hops Yao had early on in the year. It was frustrating and lots of people piled on, rightfully so. Yao seems to have turned things up a little bit in terms of intensity. He seems quicker to the basket and is making dunks looks much easier. I would say Yao and Wafer have probably made the biggest strides since the beginning of the season. Scola too for that matter. Lately, he seems to be pretty efficient and not making things looks so difficult as he had in the past. Whenever he cools off someone will wonder why he's getting a pass.

Rafer gets his fair share of people complaining and now Battier does as well (Teflon Don thread). Pretty much every person currently on the roster has something negative directed their way. Woot!

this may be true, but aside from the cultural thing for a few, the majority of this board knows which side of their bread is buttered. i think some people here get the impression that only the mass chinese on this board are rooting for yao, so there's a reactive thing going on. not racist, just people trying to be different for whatever reason. there's also a reaction to the idea that if you're bashing tmac, it's cuz you're only a yao fan. but a very smart rocket's fan has to appreciate yao's contribution to the team even if you're not chinese. i know clutch and clutchcityreturns are a few.

i mean, yao is the only rockets i know right now, that if you took him out at this point, we would not make the playoffs. at least not with the way tmac is playing at the moment. if you take wafer out, we'll make it at a lower seed and passing to the second round is questionable, but we'll still make it.

yao has the best stats in more than half the categories that count on this team. this is said, knowing yao has alot of flaws and believe me, they get pointed out every time he has a bad game. does yao get a free pass... NO. it just seems that way cuz TMac is under performing and is criticized a lot. i'm still holding reservations for him until after the allstar... but i want to point out.. and i've seen this claimed in other threads... just because people criticize TMac, doesn't mean they're giving Yao a free pass.

this is said with due respect to leebigz of course.

Your own ranking proves how stupid you are to decide the best centers with it. Eddie Curry at #1 and Steven Hill at #2? Are you freaking joking me? Whatever you are smoking please gimme some.

Can you read? I didn't question your source. I am just saying you are stupid to use that crap to decide the best center.
