maybe it was just me, but Oberto looks like a freakin rapist. it's a combination of his man-band for his hair and the devilishly-creepy molester eyes that he has. just a scary-looking individual altogether. he definitely raped last night.

    Raped Yao, that is.

In the Suns game, Yao's second foul in the first quarter was pure BS. Nash runs into a good pick by Yao and bounces/flops off him with Yao standing ground. As a result, Yao has to check out of the game until the second quarter.

On the other hand, Scola got away with some good acting himself, and was rewarded with a few fouls getting called on Stoudamire. No flops, but some dramatic license when Stoudamire swung his arm or elbow Scola's way.

The lesson? You've got to overact, exaggerate and maybe hit the deck a couple of times to get the calls. In another words, sell the foul. It's kind of sad, but that's what it seems to me a lot of times.

There is never gonna be a day, when Stoudemire and Duncan complain about being "hold me, grab me" from Yao Ming's defense and complain how the game was officiated. Yao Ming just has to stand there and jump straight up for 4 fouls.

Yao has all the tools to dominate and be a great player. It's the mental aspect of the game is where he falls short at. Quote me if I'm wrong, but this game is 90 percent mental. A dominant great player would've figure out his weaknesses by now. Look at Larry Bird who wasn't an atheletically inclined player excelled in the mental aspect of the game.

I have said it for more than 5 years, he is too nice.

He needs to get a couple of intentional fouls......throw some elbows, when someone flops on him, he should intentionally fall right on top of the guy that flopped, KNEES first.

People will continue to take advantage of his nice nature, until he realizes that there are killers on the court that will do ANYTHING to win, including cheat.

If you can't beat em join em.

    We need Yao MEAN !!!

Yao is made in China. Refs don't shop at Walmart. Sad, but true. :( ;)

Right now I am so frustrated on Yao's performance that I actually agree with you here. I do not believe the Refs hate or discriminate Yao. We have never played the game to the level of Spurs, not only in terms of their consistencies but also their collective basketball IQ.

That's what separates Hakeem from Yao. He would give the opponent a real foul to complain about instead of standing with his arms straight up. This ticky tack stuff is going to keep being called, until he gives real fouls.

He should at least complain about it to the media.....maybe play the race card....

Put the NBA on their heels.......by bringing up the obvious...that Yao is not treated fairly by the refs.

Sure, there is no racial bias, but if Yao infered it, he would get the attention he needs and more calls from the refs.

At the very least Adelman should be talking about it A LOT !!!

Show pictures, show video....discuss publically how much crap Yao has to put up with.....

Play the race card on Violet Palmer and see where that goes.
The gender card could be the trump card. :D

I'd rather Yao just play basketball, or else he'd be considered a whiney baby, especially since he's the biggest guy in the NBA.

I wonder if Adelman should go to the darkside. Bring in Divac to teach Yao the art of the flopping for centers, instead of standing still and being called for a foul.

Its because hes Chinese. If he was a white guy, the refs would Love him to death and give him all the calls.

Center have always get bad calls, thats why center take it to themself.

If some midget flop on you, make sure next time he never flop again, how? A nice elbow or a hard foul and them tell the guy, Flop again Bia :) tch!.

The like to reach. A good elbow on their mouth will help, that will end soon.

If someone flop and fall on the floor in front of you, he just need to fall on top of the guy a let 300+ do the work, no one else will fall again.

He will foul out of some games and problably get suspende once, but in the long run it will help.

I know T-Mac will never tell him that. Then Steve tell Yao what he need to do, he listen to you.

What I don't get is that Mutombo gets more respect from the refs than Yao does. Mutombo is a huge ass center, but he doesn't get called for this ticky tack stuff. They even let some of his elbows fly once in a while and don't call anything.

Nah, the refs would be afraid to favor the white guy. That would signal the intervention of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. :p

DD is right - until Yao starts retaliating against his assaulters...err, defenders, he's not going to get the calls he deserves. I think the next time some scrub like Oberto is using both arms to grab and push Yao, Yao needs to turn around, grab him and throw him to the ground. Then, when the ref calls the foul, Yao should say "Hey, I thought since he can use two arms to defend me, I could use two arms to move him out of the way."

There's a story I heard about a famous Celtic - either Dave Cowens or John Havlicek - who got called for a ticky tack foul. As soon as the ball was back in play, he ran down the court, clotheslined the guy who drew the ticky tack foul and yelled at the ref "That's a #$^%ing foul!" I think Yao should do something like that - I would love to see him drop one of the midgets (i.e Nate Robinson) who get a "block" by hitting him in the face.

Ehem, I am right 97.5% of the time, no one gets it right all the time...I am wrong so infrequently that people like to point out the few and far between, and usually I am right long before anyone else even recognizes that I am right.

    RIIIIIGHT !!!

    ;)
