Parker was never a good shooter from a distance, but he has improved his 19 foot jump shot by a huge margin this season, if only Rafer can do the same..................is there any chance that we could hire some public speakers to write motivation speechs for Yao and T-Mac to read when trying to snag Billups or Bibby to the Rockets?

Nash and Terry have always been good shooters.

Parker has been an awful shooter for years, who can't even make free throws. He has improved this year. He limits the amount of shots that he takes in the midrange and 3pt land. He plays to his strengths, where as Rafer takes any shot given to him, whether it's a spot up 3, or a teardrop.

take a quick look at battier's hotzones compared to rafer's...

Why again does rafer take the most shots on the rox behind Yao and tmac?

or compare chuck wagon's shot percentage within 2 ft of the bucket and rafer's.

bottom line- our power forward can make a layup.

    our starting pg can't.

Ain't that the truth...and the main reason I wanted to show V-Span's stats.

Look at Parker.....and how effective he is in the same type of offense...V-Span could be our Parker.

Of course, Chuck's layups tend to be of the "noone within 10 feet" kind, whereas Rafer's are generally more of the contested sort.

Again, with regards to outside shooting, Rafer is shooting 37% on 3-pointers this year. Remember Casey Jacobsen, that pure shooter we had in the preseason? This year, Rafer is matching his career 3-point percentage.

Why does Rafer take so many 3s, why does Sam Cassell look like ET, why is Michael Finley so dark, why is Yao Ming so tall, why is Joakim Noah so ugly? We dont know, its all part of life's mysteries.

It's too risky, first of all, the opponent know this guy can shoot, cuz he's white, so they won't let him shoot. Secondly, he can't defend.

Pointless stat bro...Rafer hit what 4 for 9 from distance...cant complain about that. 7-17 overall isn't garbage either. If you wanna get on anything point out the TO's but that would require you calling out Luther and Shane as well so scratch that.

sorry, but NO PG (not even steve nash) should be shooting 9 threes in a game. i dont care. he's gotta find a way to get yao the ball...same with the rest of the guys, but especially alston.

you think HAKEEM had only 4 shots in a game?
you think Rudy would let that happen?
you think Kenny or Sam would ever let that happen?

If we wanna be completely honest on Yao not getting the ball its probably 70% his fault...I know the guys guarding him were smaller and quicker but he was doing a sorry job of getting them on his ass and sealing them off. The guys were trying to force feed him but he couldn't keep them on his back long enough to get the ball. There were some bad passes on the night no doubt, saw Luther throw one straight to the defender for some reason...but the majority of that blame falls on the back of the big fella.

As far as Rafer taking 9 three's they were there...wide open...thats what happens when there's two guys doubling down on the big man. Luther took 9 as well if I'm not mistaken, they did a pretty decent job of making them pay for doubling down, 99 points will win us most games. The fault in this game lies completely with the defense, gotta have a better effort than that, those guys can shoot the rock but I'd atleast like to see them do it with a hand in their face.

Its not a matter of Rudy, Kenny, or Sam....its the difference in Yao and Hakeem. Yao just isn't the quick agile athlete that Hakeem was. This would've never happened to Hakeem because he had the quickness to keep the guys on his back when he got the position, Yao simply can't move his feet fast enough to hold that position with the guy on his back. Yao shooting only 4 times didn't lose us this game, our D did.
