Thanks for the shrink attempt, but nah. I'm complaining because Harden is *still* playing too many minutes by my estimation. Though maybe the problem isn't as widespread among starters as I originally felt.
Both Portland and NO got unbelievably hot and we still came back and smacked them for 7 point win margins. How about just sitting down and enjoying the show instead of looking for things to complain about? We have a great team on a great run right now. That doesn't last forever. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Or, some people are just worried come playoff time our starters are going to be worn down and dead tired, and it kills our chances against the Warriors. Or, worse yet, Chris Paul for example gets seriously injured in garbage time when he shouldn't be out there. Yes the overall bench is thin with Mbah out, but D'Antoni needs to expand his options some. One questionable rotation guy will not torpedo the game in three minutes here & there. There was 1:30 left in the 3rd quarter, Rockets up by 17 at home, and Harden and Paul were both on the court. That shouldn't happen.
He left Ariza out there for the garbage minutes too. I was so irritated with Dantoni for that. Morey needs to step in and talk to Mike about this.
You can make as many excuses as you want. Point is, we need our guys ready to go tomorrow. None of these games are freebies, especially on b2bs, and especially against Giannis. As for complaining, again, see my replies above. I mean jesus, can nobody critique anything about the team while they're winning? Do we have to accept everything as perfect during a win streak to be accepted as one of you? I completely agree that we have a great team on a great run, and I think it could keep up for some time... but I still think we could get our starters some more rest. I thought it was pretty well known that MDA has short rotations, too, and people would take notice of this.
If your team's biggest problem is that they are blowing teams out so often that they are forced to play their 10-13th men too much, and they are not good enough to hold leads, that's a great ****ing problem to have. Remember, the reason why the bottom of our bench is so bad is because we gave up all our good scrubs(Dekker, Harrell, Lou) for CP freaking 3.
Nobody is suggesting to clear the bench with a 15-pt lead with five minutes, don't build strawmen. But at least get guys like Harden out when we're up 23 with 3-4 mins left.
Well what are you basing this estimation on? Until this season, he's averaged 37.5 minutes per game. This year he's averaging 35.7 (34.8 since CP3 came back). He's not even in the top-10 in the league in MPG.
If D'Antoni lacks the trust to play the near end of bench guys at all even when they are completely blowing teams out at certain points in the game, and bigger context they are cruising to a #1 or 2 seed... then they need to acquire another rotation guy or two. At least someone that can spell the important guys for a few mins here and there and D'Antoni isn't petrified he'll single handedly ruin the game
Morey will solve the bench "issue" before the trade deadline by: 1) trading Troy Williams and C. Onauku for Tyreke Evans 2) signing a bought out Tyson Chandler for vet min 3) trading Tarik Black for Troy Daniels 4) And then trading Ryno and Joe Chee plus a overseas prospect or draft pick for PG13 Then we will have plenty of guys for MDA to play and rest up our best players for a Championship run this year! CP3/Evans/Daniels Harden/Gordon Ariza/Moute PG13/Tucker Capela/Chandler/Nene A 12 man rotation that will even expand our leads in blowouts! Then of course next year we get Lebron James Harden playing along with Chris Paul George to win 80 games in the Chip again!!
Who do you want to play more? Troy Williams? Bobby Brown? Demetrius Jackson? Zhou Qi? Freaking Chinanu Anuaku? You realise these are not even NBA players. And why is the front office so inept to not even have NBA players for their 10-15 men? Because they were too busy constructing the best 9 man rotation in the league.
You don't know what "ad hominem" means Saying "you suck" isn't an ad hominem argument. It's an insult to whiny b****es who look to suck the fun out of huge wins against a hated rival. I dare you to do this whine while walking out to you car from TC while your victorious friends are whooping it up. Or worse, at a bar where ppl are high fiving. You suck...and about 20 ppl in the Game Thread do too. That's an insult. Not an ad hominem argument against your OP. lulz
Not being in the top 10 in MPG is somewhat surprising to me... maybe his minutes aren't as significant [relatively speaking] as I thought. But pure total numbers aside, I can't be the only one that thinks he stays in the game longer than he needs to. I mean he's clearly disinterested in many of these games, too, by the end. Which is why his 4th quarter shooting percentages are atrocious, especially by his standards (I forgot I wanted to mention that in the OP).
How Irks would you have been if The Starters came out at the 5 minute mark and then had to come back in at the last minute because the team only had a <5 point lead??? Rocket River
Oh, so in other words, you're just going completely off topic, trying to go e-thug and start shizz for no reason. OK, that's cool. Way better look. Do your thing, bruh.
I actually thought it was pretty risky pulling Harden and CP with 3 mins left. At one point it was only 15 points and could've easily got under 10 with 1 minute to go. Luckily Bobby Brown hit two 3s.
Multitasking ... lulz Sorta like after a great session of sex, your partner multitasks to over analyze saying, "you know, you did that Oh-face again." to suck the fun out of it.
