yeah you truly dont listen. please go educate yourself and lookup how much they play when they win those titles and how many games they play. quit being so stubborn. the fact that youre even attempting to use lebron as an example to support your delusional case isn't even close. that should be a no brainer on how much that guy plays.
also https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...klahoma-city-thunder-houston-rockets/4245449/ Houston coach Kevin McHale wouldn't use fatigue as an excuse for the Rockets' performance. "You're playing basketball," McHale said, shaking his head. "You're not logging tall timbers, believe me. Four games in five nights ... next question. "We couldn't stop them. We couldn't run. We had nothing."
What about the Home Ryno having to please his new, 6' tall hot bride. That would take a lot out of me. Do we have quotes for that?
Im irked. It really is dumb to have Harden and Paul out there in the 4th with 2 mins to go in a blowout. Not so much the game against the spurs but in previous games. Some of yall on here confuse whining with concerning. There is a difference, and this can become very concerning the in long run especially in the playoffs.
I was fine with the minutes last night. The Rockets had a nice lead but the Spurs were working hard and their scrubs were actually eating into the lead against the Rockets starters and 2nd stringers. Considering the Rockets end-of-bench can't be relied on to keep a large lead safe for even two minutes, yeah, you keep the big guys in a bit longer to secure the win. I've had some issues with them staying in too long in other games but not last night.
Harden's averaging about 35 mins. CP i think around 30. MDA is doing a great job. Yall should be lucky that we have him
He is overly conservative, but it's a product of our end-of-bench roster not being all that well developed. I don't think he trusts our 3rd stringers one bit. Popovich has a completely different philosophy in this regard.
Kerr too. As deep as the Spurs are GSW is deeper. I could say the same for Boston, Toronto, Cavs with their 10+ players whom their coach trusts with 10+ minutes a game. While only have 8 who can be counted 10+ minutes a game with the 9th/10th alternating games
Exactly... but thats not how this board rolls... if we're winning... ur to stfu and heap accolades and talk about where the players or the team rank all-time - while never acknowledging any shortcomings, raising concerns or questioning anything... Then when the house of cards falls in... either A) Go on a rampage and lose your mind for failing to make the adjustments/corrections to concerns that were apparent all season... or B) Criticize those on a rampage as not being 'real fans' and insist we are lucky to have the personnel we do... rinse and repeat.... it's an ugly cycle... lol
IF their "C" team outplays our "A" team we DON'T deserve to win!! Not with a lineup that has Beard/CP3 on it!! As far as to the OP's irked-ness, in a perfect world everything would be perfect. If you would've started this thread when we played the "MavChicks" perhaps the forum would be more receptive to your point of resting the starters, BUT the Spurs are not the "MavChicks"! This was an important game against a real threat in the western conference! You don't concede an inch!! If you have your foot on their jugular, you don't lessen the pressure, you put all your FULL weight on it and make them say "UNCLE"!! It's called a killer-instinct, you have to let them know you are the Alpha male in this game... next time around their psyche will be in disarray and history will repeat itself!! Spoiler: BamBam's take... ....... ....... .......
Well, this is a bit disingenuous. I don't think anyone means that they should rest or restrict minutes because they're mentally checked out or burnt out from playing professional basketball. We're simply saying that in order to achieve optimal physical performance in the spring, it would be beneficial to our players' bodies if we did not increase wear and tear throughout the season. It's simply a response to the laws of nature and the human body.
I worry that Harden is going to get injured in the garbage time minutes he plays but in watching every game he's played in so far he doesn't seem to be exerting a great deal of energy while on the court up 25. Oh well.
I agree. I hate how when this team is rolling, this message board shuts down into a circle jerk and any nuanced criticism is seen as "OMG you aren't a real Rockets fan!". It's quite frustrating. This team has high expectations. As fans, we are expecting this team to be able to go toe to toe in a 7 game series with arguably the best team ever assembled. That means as fans, we are goin to see and critiwue things even when the team is playing great because what really matters is the post season.
