There is no ideal minutes but 34 min. would be cool. Today was a start. Should rest Ariza more too.

If I am not mistaken Harden played 33 minutes tonight (2+ minutes under his average) and Paul 32. Harden is currently averaging the least amount of minutes he ever has as a Houston Rocket. Paul is averaging the least amount of minutes in his entire career.

Morey needs to look at free agents. There are guys like Gerald Green and Tiago Splitter who would easily be serviceable against NBA second units.

For years MDA has stuck to short rotations even though it hurts players in the end. He is stubborn and set in his ways. At the same time Morey is responsible for getting better quality 3rd string players. There are better scrubs out there than Briante Webber and Bobby Brown.

Nobody on the roster is averaging excessive minutes this year, and we've had the most rest days of any team in the league to date. And this year there are more rest days built into the schedule than ever before.

We should still pick up another backup wing, but we can afford to wait for a deal to present itself. Hopefully someone gets added within a week or two.

2005 The Sun were a joe Johnson injury from the finals
2007 Horry hip Check away from the finals

These had more to Dantoni not having rings than anything else. .

    I actually don't have a problem with Mike's minutes tonight .

Our scrubs are so bad in comparison to the unit the Spurs had in that a 20 point lead with 5-6 minutes was not safe at all . In fact I would 100 percent expect the starters to have to come back in if our bench was put in much earlier

I like him and want him on the Rockets. His contract is 2 years 24 M, if I'm not mistaken. If he wants a buyout to come to Houston, I would welcome it, but this is unlikely to happen.

Smh to this era of kids and their fascination with rest and minutes. No wonder the NBA is so soft these days

    Thank you coach. ;)

I hope they get down on their knees every morning and thank God they're playing basketball for a living.

Minutes restriction? Reduced minutes? Recharging your battery? You're playing basketball for a living. Recharge your batteries? Every morning you should get up and get on your knees and thank God that you're playing basketball for a living. Someone is actually paying you, in some cases millions and millions, in other cases hundreds of thousands at the minimum to play basketball. If you have to recharge your battery to play basketball, I understand recharging my battery that I've done three double shifts, I'm laying cement, and I come home. I understand that. I don't understand that, recharge your battery for what? To be able to come out here and play basketball for a living? If we have to do that, you're in the wrong sport, you're doing the wrong thing. This is a high energy game that requires total commitment but it's a joy to play. It's fun.

yep pops, kawhi, lebron, & 2 time champs gsw are so soft

we don't have a deep rotation not because its OG but because

Morey can only muster 9 non garbage players who can be trusted to play more than 10 minutes a game unlike most gms

and MDA can't trust & develop players and handle the complexity of managing substitutions and minutes unlike kerr and pop

Yup bc when they won the championships they took none of this rest and minutes thing to this embarrassing take. Please understand what you post before doing so so you don't look so dumb

somewhere between hardly bothered and mildly disturbed. which makes this thread a nitpicker's nitpick in the margin of a splinter.

    nice win, go Rockets!
