DMo was doing good job tonight, Aldridge didn't do anything vs him. Yet JBB subbed Capela. I hate JBB as much as I hated McHale. I want DMo traded to a team with a real coach and not a delusional GM.
This is what happens when you are not really good, dont really have a plan, and just try random stuff hoping something sticks.
JB has the look of a career assistant. Not head coaching material it appears. Just a seat warmer for the rest of the season.
How does he decide whether to play JT or Thornton? What's the methodology there? Seems extremely random. Good call on JT tonight though he had a great game.
Thornton gets 0 minute again, and Dmo with only 6 minutes... Nobody know why and what the ****ing has happened.
Meh, this is just a bunch of DMofs complaining. JB has experimented a lot because he has too. And they are finally starting to play defense.
His rotation is weird at time, but he quickly recognize and change when it doesn't work for the better. For the moat part, it does work. Gaining experiences right in front of our eyes.
I think he recognized the fact that tony is old and jet is old, experience va experience therefore jet can be jet. The only issue I have is that DMO is not getting enough playing time, I just hope it's because they are slowly trying to bring him on board. DMO is very integral for the Rockets success and the limited time he is on the floor, he does work!
People want to see Dmo play more and I'm a fan of that but the last few games and especially last night I understand why he hasn't. Capela's rebounding and defense made the difference last night and TJones was killing Diaw and TJones has been playing very well his last 4 or 5 games. I love Dmo but we can all agree the guy is a liability when it comes to rebounding. There's no way you wanna play him as your center out there because you'll get killed on the boards. Yes he needs more minutes but with Capela and TJones playing so well where does he get them?
He has to figure out what to do with brewer. As much as I want to agree with everyone on this board, he can't just put thorton in for brewer and expect to not get killed on d. Thorton is a small 2, and just can't defend at the 3 consistently. I was hoping KJ could be the energy guys / lockdown defender to come in, but it doesn't look like he's gonna get his shot anytime soon. Jb is a defense guy, and as much as I HATE cb right now, I think jb is making the right call going with him as the back up 3. Defense has been our issue. I guess the only other option if we were to bench brewer, is to go with James at the 3 when ARIZA has to sit, then play thorton at 2, but man that is a weak defensive squad.
Unless he is still not physically ready to play more, I just don't understand why DMo is not getting more minutes. He has contributed in the limited minutes I've seen. I don't even see a plan to gradually extend his minutes in consecutive games.
Complaining about "rotations" and "playing time" and "substitutions" is the refuge of the stupid. I can't recall a time in BBS history where "rotations" were consistently praised or applauded. It's as if a lot of you genuinely believe you know more than the coaching staff. Even when we win people b!tch about "rotations". Hilarious.
I am not worried about DMo's minutes, he will get more playing time as he gets fitter I am sure. He is doing pretty well even when he gets fewer minutes, baring his rebounding problems. This is something that he needs to work on.
People should probably follow Feigen on Twitter and read what he writes. Dmo also just came in not too long ago...so you want to work him in, but at the same time move him along slowly. then Capela got sick, so Dmo had to play more, but now Capela is healthy. Yeah, we played great defense and beat the second best team in the league. People complain that things won't change because it's the same staff, but now complain when JB is trying new things out and trying to incorporate new players into the starting lineup (Capela ) and rotation (Dmo). He's going to need his own "preseason" to sort it all out his own way. Coaches usually have training camp and almost 10 preseason games to experiment, and even then, sometimes they still need to tweak things early in the season. Aren't the Rockets like 11-2 with Capela starting or something like that? I can deal with it.
Rotations are usually a given, that's why they aren't talked about as much. It looks like the rotation has been the same the past few games, although I would like to see DMo play a bit more.
