Ah, making excuses for spamming How Ime Udoka's Affair With Celtics Staff Member Was Exposed: Source How Ime Udoka's Affair With Celtics Staff Member Was Exposed: Source Author: Zach Seemayer Published: 12:46 PM EDT September 25, 2022 Updated: 12:46 PM EDT September 25, 2022 Nia Long Breaks Her Silence Amid Fiancé's Alleged Cheating Scandal The high-profile affair scandal surrounding Boston Celtics' coach Ime Udoka is even more complicated than previously known. A source tells ET that the unnamed female staff member with whom Udoka was involved was married, and their relationship was revealed due to the staffer's doorbell camera at her home. The source says she took a call from Udoka outside her home and the doorbell camera picked up the conversation, exposing the affair. The Boston Celtics coach has apologized after allegations surfaced in which he was accused of engaging in an intimate relationship with a female member of the team's staff. A relationship with the unnamed staff member is reportedly against the franchise's code of conduct. The 45-year-old has been suspended from the NBA for the entire 2022-2023 season. Udoka has been engaged to Friday actress Nia Long for nearly a decade and they share a 10-year-old son, Kez, as well as Long's son, Massai, from a previous relationship. The source tells ET that Long was blindsided by the cheating allegations. The source claims Nia knew the female staffer, had spoken to her multiple times and even worked with her after the Celtics had started their investigation. The source tells ET that Long had no idea about the cheating until the Celtics announced Udoka’s suspension. Long recently moved to Boston, but is now packing up to leave in light of the affair and Udoka’s suspension from coaching. ET has reached out to the Celtics organization for comment. Udoka broke his silence on the situation on Friday. "I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down," he said in a statement shared by ESPN's NBA Today host Malika Andrews. "I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team's decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment."
I aint nominating the guy for Man of the Year.... how many times have u expressed your disdain for this occurrence? 25? 50? 100 times? He did the crime, he apologized, he did his time (suspension)... but u wanna keep shi**ing on him for it... I guess u never made a mistake... good for u!
Ime was a low end player, hanging on to an NBA career by being fundamentally sound on Defense, but he had very little offensive game - and he values what got him into the league and kept him there, more than he does great scorers. Even though, those great scorers are way harder to find and are much more valuable than defensive only hustle guys like Ime. So, he sees Reed getting blown by, and doesn't consider the times he gets a steal or a block by letting that happen, Ime has no concept of what Reed is doing, because it is SPECIAL it is a different rhythm and it bugs him - why can't Reed stay in front - it is just not his game. The difference is Reed is the best triple threat with the basketball in his hands and the way he moves it around on offense is infectious.....he hits Jabari in the pocket giving him the time he needs to get up a great shot - Reed makes EVERYONE better. Durant is a better individual scorer, but only because he shoots more often - he doesn't make teammates better, he just scores. Reed and Amen to a smaller extent make EVERYONE better.... Reed is the key to this team winning a ring someday. Ime is not - he, IMHO, is in the way. DD
Its sad to see people like @J.R. just consumed by an agenda. He stayed silent for about 20 games and popped his head up here and there to post a lame Jalen Green meme...but the rockets had a crazy record and we didn't see teams implementing the scheme that led us to below 0.500 with double/trippling durant/senguin. Udoka had 1 good half against the suns where he benched reed and now he is going to run with it. The sixers were without embiid and they didn't try to sag off JO That tells you everything about this guy He will use one half to justfy bad lineups and coaching but will dismiss an entire season aggregate of data. Not to mention his unprofessional behavior and previous sexual harrassment
Reed just makes the entire team better, maybe not on D, but the better offense more than makes up for it. Just give him the ball and let him and Amen share it, and run the other teams off the court.....RUN RUN RUN......let Durant trail into the secondary break - and get wide open shots. This team is coached so badly it is a travesty. Ime Udoka is a limited man, with limited Bball knowledge, he will never win - he is just too dumb to be a head coach. DD
LOL.....Some posters are super weird and losers. Imagine being some weird incel and constantly bringing up Ime's sexual misconduct.
Sounds like y'all have a lot in common. How's KPJ doing? You must be PISSED Ime is coaching during this 8 game win streak and have to make up weird excuses like " this is in spite of IME!!111!!11".
Dude you’ve been caught spending your life (the half you don’t spend here) posting arguments defending Udoka on reddit..and getting schit on by everyone. Maybe don’t use the same moniker when you’re peddling propaganda? With all that work you find time to tell people you still don’t understand bitcoin. You are the last person on this forum that should open his mouth…your entire existence screams insecurity
But he doesn't turn it over, statistically his turnover rate is the best on the team - especially considering his usage rate. DD
He used to be pretty bad. He is much better now. Some of Reed's (and Amen's) turnover and stopping the flow are due to the attempts to force feed Durant the ball. It's really infuriating. The offense flows much better when they don't try to do that. It's a vicious cycle. Whenever the offense starts to sputter, they revert to hoping KD to save them and it only makes it worse and that pushes them to try even harder to get the ball the KD. A lot of 4th quarter collapse happened that way.
i can agree with most of that @Easy but still... reed needs to stop picking up his dribble. it is his fatal flaw.
Yeah, no doubt, I don't like that, but it has been less and less, and it is a biproduct of not having a SET system - people are going whichever way they want, and the PG has to figure out what they are doing, instead of running sets where he knows and can expect things. GIves a little hesitation for sure. I would see him as a Nash or Mark Price type of deal once he gets comfortable. DD
LOL..... Says the incel who apparently stalks me on the internet. Apparently by not agreeing the Ime is the worst coach ever, I defend Ime. Don't be mad at me that Aaron Holiday can often times come in and play that Reed role.
Imagine calling yourself a NBA fan in 2026 and not understanding most NBA teams play a read and react system. Even worse.... imagine you actually think players "go whichever way they want" and not believe that the coaching staff 100% tells players where to go based on the situation. Reed has improved his ballhandling but he still often gets blitzed and either pick up his dribble or more often now get bogged down and takes more time off the clock.
