see, we have the right to critize them as sucking even if we are worse then them. we aren't getting payed millions of dollars. they are.

however, i do agree that francis/mobley hating has got to stop. its really annoying. where would we be without francis?

 

Don't Apologize for anything. You are completely right. We need more threads like yours.

 

The fact is, I think we do need more positive threads on this bbs, but at the same time, we also need some more in-depth discussions as well in this forum. The discussion of x's and o's attracts a lot of people to this bbs. It's what separates the bbs from junk boards like ESPN. At the same time, it doesn't stop people from posting positive things about the Rockets.

What does need to stop is the constant bashing of newbies. That being said, Mustang, you may want to re-word your statement about other people's opinions "suck"ing. What did you expect to get from that? A bunch of "thank you's"?

I also don't think this thread is going anywhere, but let's see where it goes...

 

International coach of what, ping pong? I've never read any of your posts that included the kind of basketball jargon a coach would use. There are a few terms that you have "played out" though (selfish, team ball, pass, shoot first, ballhog). Those are the kinds of rumblings an average fan spits out. I'm no coach, but there are guys here who aren't but they can break down and analyze the Rocket's offense, you have never done that.

Everybody that has posted on here think they so damn samrt.Ya'll muthafakaz aint never satisfied.Always expect ish to go ya'll way.Be happy ya'll have a team that is worth gettin out there and competing every single time they play.Be happy that the Comets have brought this city 4 more championships so that we can at least say that this is not a one(um two) championship town.Wake tha hell up and be glad that the Houston Rockets are not the Louiville Rockets(or whatever nickname they would have had).I say we have the most selfish fans around.It's like that all around the league but damn when we have a team on the cuspe of doin some great things everybody wanna blame some body for it and when it dont go how this one fan want they get pissed and say let's fire Rudy or "fugg Les Alexander".I for one have said my share about the Rockets and how they did things so I have the right to grip about it.The Rockets will be on the ball next season and when they do reach that oh so special place called the NBA Playoff/Finals win or lose what will you say.Will you kick them while they are down or ride they coattails like Scottie Pippen did Jordan.The Rockets are far better than most teams who did make the playoffs hell they are better than every other team that didnt make it.It's just they did do what they were supposed to do.It aint Rudy fualt it is those 12 men who get paid from $5000,000 to $7.some odd million dollars a year to entertain us.Blame them.They kno thier roles on this team and they have to live with it.So whateva you think abut the Rockets and what they have did this off season so be it.I think Houston did what was best for them and not you.Because if they hierd a coach on the primise of what you thought you might as wqell call them the Clippers.The rockets are where they need to be and for that I'm glad.And by the way did you ever think God has a lot to do with what goes on in this world.Everything has a place and time.And God controls all of it.

 

this site has gone down hill in the past year. gone are most all of the people that made it great. they have been replaced by posters like Yetti and a bunch of bandwagon hoppers looking for the new flavor of the day. if the city of houston was represented by this board, steve francis and cuttino would have been driven from town long ago. many posters here are 15 year old kids who either a)repeat what they read on espn.com or nbadraft.net or b) comeup with the genius cato and taylor for garnett and wally trade ideas. there are a few not like that (yetti for one) who know the game but refuse to believe what is so apparent that steve is an integral part of this team and yao cannot do "it" by himself (he can't even do "it" at all right now). if we didn't have steve we would be the Cavs (pre LeBron).

Good post syd. This site has changed quite a lot, but I think its for the better. Sure there are more low quality posts but there is a lot more activity which makes this site even more addicting. Its great to see the threads created by Macbeth(most of them anyways ), Jeff, Heypee, crash, verse, and of course Clutch, . Those guys I mentioned are great at showing you their point of view about the team...and helping me come down from a horrible loss to (insert lottery team here). But even the new members make the site worthwhile, with their obvious Yao-loving and naive posting techniques(which aren't that much different than mine ) Hell, its downright hilarious to watch some newbie make a thread that's going to get the axe, just to see the responses before its locked...sometimes it's comedy at its finest. Clutch and the other moderators do a great job(better than any other site)of keeping us civil and halfway intelligent...and keeping out the trolls.
