AB has done OK at passing to Yao, but AB starting is not the reason why Yao is going off for 30+ the last few games. It's because of the teams we're playing, and the TEAM is focusing on getting him the ball. It's not like Rafer starting = Yao getting the ball less.
In 44 minutes, Brooks had 10 points and 0 free throw attempts. Everyone likes AB because of his scoring. If you really want to take advantage of that, you keep him on the bench so he can take more shots in the 2nd unit, rather than deferring to T-Mac and Yao. Once Rafer comes back, he will be back in the starting lineup, and there are logical reasons for that. Rafer is a better entry passer to Yao, runs the offense better, and plays better defense. Plus Alston is actually shooting better than Brooks as of late, especially from three. Let Brooks shine off the bench.

i don't think AB should start yet. the reason is we've seen hwo bad the 2nd unit is the past few games without him.

we have enough scorers in the starting lineup to afford rafer. i mean, we'll end games moreso with brooks than with rafer i think. but we need brooks to play more with the 2nd unit.

i don't trust artest being the only ballhandler in the 2nd unit b/c he's a terrible playmaker. we need him to finish, not create. brooks can create for the 2nd unit.
