It’s Les’ fault Tilman is a Dolan-esque owner. Anyone who disagrees is a fake fan. How does someone so consistently make bad threads.
He sold because he was 75 and not stupid. He was on the precipice of all of the big nasty contracts and luxury tax to stay competitive. Les had milked enough good money out of China and the stadium deals to get his windfall with none of the future risks and costs. It was also a transition point where he could hike the price at the peak with the future owner expecting a greater ceiling on a rare and premium asset with prestige. He got out just like he got in. Bought low, stole the silverware, then robbed the bank and left just like any good businessman.
Snake move, get out and promise to pay CP3. Nice legacy to leave a new owner with and as a bonus: taking the trophies. He’s probably laughing with that evil one of his, on his yacht , looking at his trophies, sailing in Miami with Butler who’s joined in as he cannot believe they thought he was coming. Hahaha
I think your central point is much easier to make that the Patterson’s are responsible for the success of our team and Les just showed up and fired them and got all of the credit for doing nothing. People lionize Les now with no real understanding and Tilman is even worse. 100% agreed.
I sell collectibles... and I sell things I still want all the time... but if someone is willing to pay so much that they obviously want it more than I do - sold!
Maybe he feels like his child is less competent than James Dolan and felt like the Rockets would be in better hands with another owner.
To compare a playoff rockets team to the Knicks proves that Les Alexander fans are stupid and not real Rockets fans
