He’s an absolute freak and unlike any player I’ve seen in a while. Two-way, semi-point-forward that can switch on anything and runs like a gazelle.
Took them the best performance of the season to beat a mediocre one from them Raptors. 20 rbs AD, 14 assists Holiday. We'll talk when both teams have the same monster stats in the same game. Pelicans' frontcourt is a terror to most teams but they lack consistency in the back court.
44 pts tonight a career high along with 10 boards and 3 blocks for Siakam, who was the 27th overall pick. Maybe the Rockets should stop considering late first round picks worthless.
never heard of him until I saw him run a scrimmage game with Harden and he looked like the real deal.
Yep. 2017 possible draftees - Derrick White, Josh Hart, Tony Bradley, etc. 2016 possible draftees - Juancho Hernangomez, Malik Beasley, Caris Lavert, etc. 2015 possible draftees - Larry Nance, Kevon Looney, Cedi Osman, etc. Not saying that these are the guys we would have selected, just providing the talent that has been around at that (would have been) pick and beyond. I mean the last time we selected in the 1st round was Clint Capela in '14 and look how that turned out.... J/S.
I'm not ignoring him, but he doesn't play for the Rockets, and it doesn't seem like he will be playing for the Rockets any time soon. Therefore, he's a nice player, but really none of my business. Same with Paul George, Giannis, and everyone. They're good players, real good. But they aren't Rockets so I can't bring myself to care (unless they're playing us, in which case I hope they lose).
He is definitely unique. He's a crafty PF who can create his own shots (44 points last night) but his defense is even better. Perimeter, 1 on 1, switches, he can do it all. I can't think of another player like him. He's like a super rich man's Terrence Jones with 10x better defense and athleticism
In the same breath, you could argue that there are plenty of misses, too. It's easy to cherry pick the successes, but there are definitely whiffs, too.
Which is why I said possible draftees. Who knows what the ACTUAL picks could be... but we'll never know that so there's no use in guessing. Plus most of the guys listed, were either the pick or right behind that pick (sans the 2016 draft).
