Sounds like you have a problem with TMac, lol. It's cool, so do I. He's done here. We don't disagree there. The fact that you use all TMac's negatives to support Artest simply siuggets you have nothing else. You're bordering on a YOF of and old TOF with Ron. It's the truth.

I never said Ron didn't contribute. For how much he talks, he really neeeded to step up. He has an over inflated self worth that ultimately hurts the team far more then it helps. He gets sucked in to one on one match ups that he never wins. ect.....We lost yao and TMac mailed it in. We needed Ron to step up. He didn't. That's just a fact.

Stop using TMac as an excuse for Ron's poor play. They have nothing to do with one another

I feel like a lot of the people who criticize Artest have never actually played basketball. The guy brings so many intangibles to the team that it's ridiculous. There is a reason why when actual guys who played in the NBA are asked about Artest, they always say they would want him on their team. It's not a coincidence that his first season with the team happened to turn into a magical season. He led our team in minutes played and assists during the best Rockets playoff run in 15 years, he is as big a part of the team as anyone else, so if you call this season a great season, you have to give Artest credit. The team adopted HIS attitude throughout the season and it's that tough, physical, never quit, never back down attitude that turned the Rockets from the soft McGrady teams into the Cinderella story of the playoffs this year. Yes he sometimes takes bad shots, but keep in mind that a lot of those shots occur when teammates give him the ball with 5 seconds left on the shot clock and he has nothing left to do except shoot.

Also, Artest is not playing his natural role. He is not supposed to be an ISO player on offense but has been forced into that role because we have no one else other than Brooks who can create shots off the dribble (don't say Wafer because he is a liability on the court in so many ways that his minutes have to be limited). If McGrady comes back and takes his role as the #2 option on offense to Yao, Artest can go back to his natural slot of defensive intensity, some offense, toughness, leadership, etc.

    Toughness.

Ron-Ron was brought here for pretty much nothing. He played with heart, created no internal problems and helped us get out of the first round.

I'd love to keep him in a Rockets uniform.

Please get Brian Cook out of here though.

A regular season game and an average Playoff series against Portland warrants 21- 24 million over three years? You missed your chance. You could have been a vital piece of Isiah Thomas's New York staff.

Look at you digging again, lol. We are "Roc ket's haters", because we don't agree with your opinion on Artest? You can't be that dense can you? I don't hate Artest either. I just don't think he fits with this team. It seams you have an infatuation with Ron and TMac. Maybe you need to reavaluate who you're a fan of.

You guys are a joke. really a freaking joke.

    listen to yourselves!

we were a 10-1 underdog against the Lakers, we have no Yao Ming.

And you put the blame on Artest? He's not suppose to be a scorer, he had to be one because of default.

Technically it was Yao's fault for being hurt. The offense starts with him cause he's our best player.

Sorry I assumed you were a Tmac fan, cause those guys like to throw other players under the bus.

Seriously, part of me wishes that the unappreciative so called "ROCKETS FANS" never got Ron Artest and got that 2nd round guy instead that we traded to the Kings.

You guys deserve that, the other fans don't.

sorry for the misunderstanding i was talking about Tmac(him) not artest,

To me, artest is a wild card.
I know Ron bring both negative and positive impact to this team but right now i'm not sure. I like ron as a player and person, he show heart, toughness, most of the things you listed in your poll.

Stop repeating the same thing over and over. It just makes you look simple. Ron isn't supposed to be a scorer? Wow, you obviously don't know anything about basketball. Ron brought in here to be a scorer and a presence on defense. Our third scorer was Rafer Alston. That didn't exactly work out. Look at Ron's career numbers. Look at the role he took on this season. He didn't get along with TMac because they both did the same thing. You're delusional if you don't think Ron was brought in to score.

Hey did you read the title of this thread?

Do you go vegetarian conventions and tell them you hate meat?

This is called "Why Do you Love Ron Artest"

It's because you sound like a 13 year old girl beating her keyboard against the desk all while drying her tears in her Artest jersey. You don't make any valid points. You just resort to telling people they aren't Rockets fans because they don't share your views. It's immature. Bringing up TMac (whom I doubt anyone supports) shows you don't have much substance behind your argument

Lol. This is just getting sad. You have yet to answer anything I've asked. You use TMac quitting on the team, a solid defensive performace against LBJ during the regular season, and an ok Portland series as your reasons why we should give Artest 21-24 million a year. Did I miss something?

I answered your question by the way. I just used an option you didn't list., As a sign and trade piece to help build our team. Sorry that you can't deal with that

Look at my first post again. Look at the poll options.

A 13 year old girl has reading comprehension.

    Title:
Why do you love Ron Artest?

    choices:
    6 characteristics of Ron Artest

    visual:
    pictures of Ron Artest

I have no pictures of mcgrady. So you are on here cause you want to defend Tracy McGrady and have NOTHING to contribute at all to this subject.

Why don't you go blind person's convention and tell them you don't like their clothes.

Show me one time when I defended McGrady. I'll donate $100 to the tip jar if you can in this thread. You do the same when you're proven wrong. How about that?

You still dodge every sdingle point I made. You obviously can't deal with someone who has a different opinion then yours. I feel sorry for you. Take care

What points have you made? Should some start a Ron Artest Appreciation thread and you can go piss on that thread too/

You claimed I made this thread to diss McGrady.

Good, don't come back to this thread cause you obviously don't know what the topic is about.

People wanted Battier off the Rockets too.

Like every time Battier has a sub par game, you get that Rudy Gay thread pop up.

Seriously this is basically a Ron Artest Appreciation thread, but most of the posts AREN'T APPRECIATION posts

Seriously these so called fans deserve Donte Greene if they don't love Ron Artest
