Because he's more talk than action... Don't you just hate people like that? Because he put his foot in his mouth more times than not. Because he's weak, mentally. Because he has too much talent and not enough heart. Because he Toyota Center has depth perception problems. Because he quit in Orlando.... And he quit in Houston. Because he say's "I" and "me" too much and not enough "we" and "us" in his vocabulary. Because he thinks and said "it's on me". Because he pulled himself in and out of the lineup, and held the ROXS hostage. Because he jogged up and down only "half" of the court and jacked up 3's. Because he only played defense when he wanted. Because he loves baseball but plays basketball... Poor guy. Because he has a lazy eye??? Because I love when someone starts a thread like this.
I agree, he is all talk. because he is full of **** and and stopped trying. this was written about 2 weeks before he scored 3 points off of 1-9, missed a dunk off the bottom of the rim and decided he needed micro fracture surgery. I had always believed his bull**** but this was the final straw. Look at the date it was written. What a damn joke. For anyone that tries to say this guy works hard or conditions himself, come on. This article claimed he tried to get back by working out mid season for 10 days. Mcgrady says he has some unfinished business to do. He also said it was on him, then the next year blamed it on everyone else and made jokes about how it was his fault people got heinekens in the stands instead of the beer they wanted. Every month he would say he was back in his prime. When the Rockets wouldn't play him last year he said he was so hungry he could go to the moon and back. Basically I was the biggest Mcgrady fan ever and made up every excuse in the world for him. He is dead to me now obviously and you can't ever believe any quote that comes out of that mans mouth. That is why I hate him http://www.yardbarker.com/nba/articles/T_Mac_says_he_feels_back_to_old_self/482185
"He's improved tremendously," said Hall, who said McGrady has slimmed down and improved his speed and strength. "I'm so proud of the guy because in 10 days, it's a miracle. He's really put in the work."
10 days. Miracle. he was working his ass off. He tries so hard. None of the injuries have anything to do with the fact that he thinks he can lay around all day and score 40 whenever he wants. It isn't 2003 anymore so he is over. The guy can't even bust a 5.5 second 40
Ok, I think I got it now lol... just wanted to kno other ppls thoughts. Lock it up if you want, Mods, since some people have a problem with this and pretty much every thread ever created and want to lock it up. But some people start threads and post in them to hear different opinions, but if no space, please, lock it up.
January 21, 2009 "I [too] was frustrated at the beginning of the season because I wasn't able to be myself," said McGrady. "I was just eager and anxious to get out there because of what we brought as far as our roster, having Ron Artest and adding some of the pieces that we did. I was just excited about getting out there and getting my team off to a good start. Now if that hurt me with my fans, so be it. I'll get them back because I believe in my ability."
i dont ? i dont generally hate the team that i loved nor do i hate any players on the team. i get frustrated sometimes though, when people give up halfway in the games. still that's not hate
People hate him because Spoiler He earned $20 million last year, more then they will over their lifetime. good on him!
I don't hate the guy. He's my absolute favorite player. I'd want him to have a better end to his career than just retire today or go the way of stevey Franchise. He should go to a team that he can win a ring with, he's wanted it bad enough and has worked hard. He certainly didn't give up on Houston, he didn't have a mysterious "elbow" problem like Lebron. In fact if a major trade went down and we lost some role players, I'd love to entertain the opportunity of signing him as a back up sg/sf. While in NY he was still recovering and did seem like he rushed it BUT he still commanded attention and still played with a high bball IQ and unselfishly
resigning him. wow, just wow then 2012 would be upon us. the world would end if we ever even thought about that. haha tell that to adelman. the guy despises mcgrady, so does morey i'm sure.
Right and half this board mentions his Ego and not Coach Adelman's. I like Adelman he's my favorite coach but his Ego got on the way of Luther Head and for him traded. Luther head for Christsake, the guy was humble and worked hard. That's why he's with New Orleans making money atleast to prove it wasn't an injury that got him traded or some nasty temper. Besides I think a reconciliation could go down if Shaq can make even with Wade. Shaw downright attacked an organization and had to be held back by Zo. All I'm saying is once again why not? And in terms of the personal differences nothings impossible in that regard.
luther head got traded because he wasn't any good. adelman hates mcgrady because most coaches don't like players that quit on them in the middle of the games and then announces to the public they are having micro fracture surgery before telling the team
we have all seen this a million times. but for anyone who hasn't video of mcgrady quitting in game. look at adelman's face. He wants to strangle him. Don't tell me that Adelman didn't try to make it work even letting his piece of **** step onto the floor after this
