I mostly hate them right now because of the way Memphis bent over and gave them Gasol.

yet you don't feel that same for Boston, for how they were gifted with KG and Allen ?

Before this Gift, the Celtics were not even a playoff team

You should have made this a poll where you can pick more than one option. I chose "Don't like Los Angeles in general," but I could have just as easily chosen option #3,6,or 7.

Hmm? The T-Wolves acquired Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes and Gerald Green for KG and the Sonics got Jeff Green for Allen.

    1) The Fisher/Mutombo elbow on Scola

    2) I like Kobe but hate his fanbase, same with the Lakers

    3) Vujacic.... Well thats kinda self explanatory.

    4) Artest. He only came to Houston to shoot his rap video in the Toyota Center parking lot and left.

    5) As young as I was, I still remember the BS Sacramento vs L.A 2002 series.

Well I hate Kobe and Fisher, I hate Fisher because he's a flopper and Kobe because he's an ******* and a sore winner and a sore loser. But other then that, it's just annoying that they sem to win every year, and always have for every generation. SO I guess aprt of it's a little jealously and a little bit of just wanting to see the NBA more competitive.

Are you telling me that you hate Scola, because he is also a flopper

Are you telling me that you hate LBJ, because he is also an azzhole and a sore loser.

    that i can understand.

but that also beckons the question, what do the Lakers have that other NBA teams don't ? it starts from the owner who is committed to winning, as evidence by his actions, paying the luxury tax and getting the best coach to win the ring.

while Cuban of the Mav would like to have people believe that he is committed to winning, upon further review, he is not. he had a chance to hire PJax to help his team to get over the hump, he chickened out because of Phil's salary demand.

you get what you pay for !

i'm surprised that Phil Jackson is not getting any votes because there seemed to be some people who think he's 'lucky' as a coach.

I think he's always in a good situation, but he manages personalities very well and commands respect.

he played Artest almost the entire game 7, that's confidence in your players

after Phil had took one year off after winning 3 rings for the LAkers; he entertained overtures from both the Queens and Mav about their coaching postions.

Don't like them because I live in CA, on the Central Coast (SLO), halfway between SF & LA, and there are so many Laker fans out here that it makes me sick (especially the closet Laker fans and wannabes). I fly my Rockets colors proudly here and love to see the looks on their faces.

Pretty much for some of the same reasons mentioned earlier.

    1) The arrogance and smug demeanors of the coach and Kobe.
    2) Fisher playing illegal defense(deceptively pulling and pushing), being a dirty-cheap shot artist, and then wearing that stupid "who me" expression whenever he's called for a foul.
    3) Kobe crying and whining about everything he thinks is a foul(Gasol is guilty of this too).
    4) Gasol, Bynum, and Odom pushing opponents in the back when they jump for a rebound and it not being called a foul.
    5) Vujacic playing similar defense to Fisher and it not being called a foul. Smothering defense without fouling is ok, but he normally fouls.
    6) Brown, Walton, and Farmar are all ok. Artest too, he doesn't cry like a little baby.

Also, I want to clarify; I don't dislike the Lakers as an organization, just this Laker team. I loved watching the Lakers team from the 80s with Magic, Worthy, and Cooper. I don't remember them being whiny, or cheap-shot artists.

selective memory on your part. Cooper makes Fisher look like a choir boy. Coop was a master of "incidental" elbows the the rib cage and habitullys digs his nail thru the opponents' skin. he used to say that after each games, he cleans his nails to remove the skins of the poor bastards that he guarded.

Magic whined constantly, but disguised it w BIG smiles. Kareem also whined but without the smile
one man's perceived arrogance is another man's supreme confidence. if you got it, flaunt it all you want. the best way to stop that is for other teams to beat the LAkers. People and team who complain about perceived arrogance and smug are the real whiners.
every team has an enforcer. Lakers' is Fisher, Rox's is Scola. don't foreget Stockton, Malone, Bowen, Brad Miller, etc; they know their roles. with the "bad boy" pistons, every one was an enforcer.

why do you whiners make it sound like Fisher is the only one.
show me a non-complainer, and i'll show you a baller who is not interested in the game. i dare you to named me one Rox who doesn't complain about calls.
like it only happens to the LAkers, what a whiner that your are
short of specific details, you're just making a convenient baseless claim.
    can you say back-pedaling

This is opinion of course, but I'd rather listen to a humble athlete/coach than an arrogant one, and no, this does not make me a whiner, it is just me stating my opinion, which this thread asked everyone to do.

Once again, this thread is about the Lakers. You mention Stockton, Malone, and Bowen. Yes, when they played, I also disliked them because of their cheap-shots, especially Malone, even more so than Fisher. But, once again, this thread is about the Lakers, and it seems like your argument is, "well, other people are doing it too, so why just focus on this Laker player." So if "everyone else" is committing crimes and knocking over convenience stores does that make ok to do? I mean, "everyone else" is doing it, right? No, that doesn't make it right. It is still breaking the rules, and once again, this thread is about the Lakers.

So if you don't complain about a call you thought should've been called a foul then you're not interested in your game? I don't see the connection. Now, if that player isn't practicing in the offseason on his game, or not studying video tape before a game, maybe so. But in my opinion, Kobe is crying and whining all throughout the game about what he thought was a foul. Yes, players on the Rockets and probably every other team complain about calls, but IMO not with the frequency and fervor that Kobe does.

No baseless claim. I am basing it off of games I've seen Sasha play in. IMO he's seeing how much he can get away with on the defensive end, which normally involves alot of fouling.

No back-pedaling. I was clear. I have nothing against the Lakers organization(past teams, championships, etc..) It is just this Laker team and their antics that I don't particularly care for. I loved watching the 80s Lakers.
