I really like the rockets current jerseys, anything was better than the pajama tops they wore in the late 90's. (worst jerseys ever) I don't mind the new alternate , although i would prefer white, with yellow trim, all that yellow is a little loud for my taste. We all agree, what they should be wearing is slightly updated versions of the old championship jersey's. And if it was up to the fans every team would wear black.
Uhhh... if you put Kobe or LeBron on the Rockets the jerseys would sell... It's not about the design its about the players that are wearing them... Honestly, nobody cares.
How is your post different than what I said? The point is Rockets uni's don't need to appeal to the Chinese, which is how they appear now. They need to be updated to look more NBA and American. Nobody cares accept for all the people saying our current uni's suck?
I can deal with the stripes and lettering, the shoulder cut is really the only thing that kills it. I bought a Wade and LeBron jersey before I even thought about buying a McGrady (back when he was good) or Yao jersey. Does anyone remember the name of those, I gave both away to my little brother but can't ever find them when I want to show someone a pic. They were the black on black jerseys that came in Melo, Wade, James, Yao, McGrady, and Kobe that were sold in Footlocker usually. I think this may have been in 06 or so. But yea I am excited about the new cut if it is true.
I think this thread and the last 10 just like it in the last year speak otherwise. I spent money on a new jersey a few years ago without putting much thought into it, and I can't ever wear it because the shoulders look too stupid. It just sits in my closet.
Maybe that's because other than Yao, we don't have any players that make people who aren't Rockets fans buy their jerseys. And they have had several years to buy his already. People don't buy jerseys of role players. It's as simple as that.
Except that when we DID have that player McGrady, they weren't buying them either. People in the US don't buy Yao's either, so...........
