But you aren't just trading away Parsons. Two of your poll options are completely useless because you can bet your ass such a trade will require at least Parsons and either Lin or Asik (and Minnesota probably only wants Asik).

If you are busting open 2 holes in your starting lineup to fill one, you are running in place at best. You need a supporting cast as well as those 2 superstars, and there's no guarantee that you can find a replacement starting SF and C in free agency any easier than you can find a PF like we currently need.

Yeah this. I grow to love having certain guys on the team and as such probably overvalue them. And when we do get rid of them, I always hope that we'll somehow get them back (Scola, Landry, Hayes, etc).

We over value them so that we can trade them and get a good return.

i guess i was rush to call him injury prone. however, he did miss 10%+ of his games every year since his rookie season. and like i said, we have so many other options at pf,(and i'm talking about allstar level) we really dont need to trade all our asset and settle for this particular unhealthy one.

Develop this young team. Parsons and Asik are both improving, meanwhile K-Love has been injured left and right.

I'd rather develop this current team then to trade two growing stars for an injured one.

Don't forget about team chemistry, removing two key starters will screw things up.

This is a loaded question and it can only get subjective answers.

In fact I think Clutchfans constantly low-balls the value of players on our team.

    Really, is that so?

So according to this poll 57% of members would not trade Parsons for Kevin Love. You find that as undervalue? Very interesting......

How are the same people who watched the Rockets the last 3 years forgetting how hard it is to get a superstar? Getting a player like Kevin Love is infinitely harder than it is to get a player like Parsons or Asik.

Imagine if our General Manager thought like that, luckily we have one of the smartest brains in the business.

I value players that wear jerseys over those who wear suits.

Maybe I should have used a player like Blake Griffin in the poll. It seems that the whole injury connection with love has either people discombobulated or they just can't stand love.

In any case even with the injury history players like Love are extremely hard to attain so in the end you make the trade regardless. We are in this to win championships not struggle to make the bottom tier of the playoffs and get knocked out in the 1st round.

Kevin love is a defensive liability. We have a Harden already. We don't need another defensive hole especially under the rim. McHale needs to teach Asik how to catch and flow to the basket. I admit he has cold hands but a lot of his missed lay up or turnover were due to he bringing the ball down or dribble before going up. He needs to get rid of that muscle memory and just dunk the damn ball whenever he's near the rim. If he can do that he'll be a beast even if he's still stone handed.

When did Kevin Love and superstar become so synonymous in your little book of NBA facts, TC?

If you are giving up Parsons and Asik for Love you will have the caproom to get Pekovic.

I will probably do Love and Pekovic for Parsons, Asik and capspace.

You should change the title to:

"Why do the members of every team forum overvalue the players of their team?

I stopped by a timberwolves forum lately and someone there said he wouldn't trade Rubio for Magic Johnson in his prime.

Why would you trade one or two of your best players for someone who is currently injured and rumored to have bad blood developed between him and the Wolves organization within the last year? The Rockets are better off waiting for Love to be available in FA or see how desperate Minnesota gets to want to get something for him.
