Well they do that for one simple reason. Because she's white. Fat, ugly etc doesn't matter. She have white skin and white parents? Hit.

I never topped off. I always assumed the lever stops for a good reason, and stopped

I don't understand why some people talk on their cellphones while fueling up.

I've never topped off. I always shake it a little to make sure I'm not dripping when I put it away. But I don't squeeze.

Credit card fraud happens a lot at gas stations. When I fuel up I try to hit the exact dollar amount so when I see my statements every month I can easily red flag a charge at Valero for $37.42. It's not a perfect solution but just a small check that I use in order to monitor fraud.

One time out to lunch from the office, I went to fill up and was leaning against the car while the pump did its thing. But, the automatic shut-off failed. I got suspicious when I felt a wet spot on my butt and looked down to see the gas had overflowed and was pooling under my car. My pants were wet with gasoline, so I had to go all the way home again to change before going back to work.

What were we talking about again?

oh man, that sucks. but you know what's terrible?

When I was a kid, farther back then I can really remember and before all the safety mechanisms were in place, I guess I accidentally knocked the pump out of the gas tank. It was quite pressurized I guess because my mother tells me I was completely soaked in gasoline [and I was crying apparently]. The gas station employee ran out and soaked me down with a water hose... I think... At least that's the way my mom put it.

I realize that this particular conversation has nothing to do with me but I'll add...

Don't top off wife's car, but do so on the the trike...especially on the long hauls.

But the older I get the less I see myself riding until the empty light comes on. So, I can see my habits evolving, changing.

Sometimes the auto shut off is premature for whatever reasons at some stations, and I sometimes go for one more shutoff to be sure that I didn't get stopped short of a full tank. Nothing to do with even numbers or getting it filled to the cap.

I saw a guy put in 20 dollars, do his twenty dollars worth of gas but when he was done, he kept pulling the trigger for every drop WHILE grabbing the hose and angling/shaking it to get "every last drop".

    I was like whoa.

I want my gas bill to always end in $.01 cents, so that when I check my statement, it's easy to confirm that it was my purchase.
