Serious question. Who/what the hell is Dallas named after? It wasn't a founding father of the state. Wasn't there a George Dallas or something presidential candidate at sometime? So apparently the city is named after a loser.

This is another thing wrong with Dallas. It has no identity. No one knows which Dallas was used to be the actual name for the city.

Whoa with the hate there on the only NHL team in Texas. The Dallas Stars are amazing, one of the only good things about Dallas.

I love Houston because my family all lives there but I grew up a Cowboys fan because the Oilers left when I was a kid. If it wasnt for that I would love Houston football, Im just now starting to like the Texans but they are just as frustrating as the Cowboys.

My Dad took me too a lot of Astros games in the Astrodome so I love the stros.
Most of my childhood memories involve watching Hakeem and Clyde.

Dallas has In n Out but Houston has wayyyy better restraunts.

    Houston has Beyonce as well.

I'm of the opinion that if the county was named for George Dallas, then it only makes sense that the city was named for him as well regardless of how many Dallases there were at that time.

Is that supposed to be a positive?

Dallas will be Dallas. Houston will be Houston. Austin will be Austin.
