Francis is more of a "ppl person" than McGrady & befriending Yao was what a great PG was suppose to do. It wasn't alot of "baggage" like Tmac brings, he was having fun & was a great rep for the Rockets in the All-star games/Dunk Contest. The SuperBowl situation, I could careless......
How soon we forget, stevie was HATED as bad as tmac is being hated on now. We live in a what have u done for me lately society. What do you expect.
I never hated Stevie. Too me... in the Stevie era, every loss was like the loss to Atlanta. There was no quits. And notice, during that loss... McGrady wasn't there. Now... how come the first game of a back to back, we played like crap against a weak team? That loss was unbearable and heart sickening. And another thing that someone else said... Steve's love for Houston.
We lost that Raptors game because it was 4 on 5. I'm not even counting T-mac as a player on this team at this point.
I loved Steve during his first stint but the hatred for him on this board and among fans was like it is today for tmac. Remember all the Steve has no bball iq comments, that he dribbles the ball too much, that he's not a clutch player, that he's not a true pg, that he is stunting Yao's development, that he was undisciplined and didn't care about winning, remember when he missed a flght to phoenix to watch the super bowl since it was in Houston. He was hated by many, especially on this board. I neverundersood the love fest for him when returned though.
