I'm not a hater. I had hoped he could come back and contribute.

I was ready for him to be gone when we traded him to Orlando. He hasn't been able to stick anywhere since that trade. At some point it's not everyone else in the world's fault. I trust RA, as well. I think if Francis could have made this club any better, he would have been given some floor time.

he's more animated. he runs around the court hitting his chest. at least when he used to find himself on a court he did. that doesn't mean he cares any more about winning than t-mac does.

sigh, too bad with all that heart, Steve Francis still got traded to the abyss not once but twice. I hope that doesn't happen to Eric Dampier.

Steve will dive on a loose ball, or take a charge, or sacrifice his body for a couple FT's at the end of the game...... I cannot say the same for Tracy...........

The problem is that T-mac appears to coast at points in the game and settles for the pull up jumper when he could have chose to create contact and get to the line.

Francis may have taken ill advised shots and dribbled the air out of the ball but he never coasted during games and never settled for a pull up jumper when he could have abused his man.

This is why is Kobe is considered better than McGrady and this is why Lebron has taken it to another level the last couple of years. Those guys are constantly pushing the action.

A few games ago T-mac dove in the stands for a ball. Lets not act like T-mac doesn't do anything on the court. Yes lately he has been struggling but you people act like the man literally does nothing on the court.

Haha, a few games ago? He can not be counted on to play hard, that is a fact.

same reason why yankee fans like jeter more than arod when arod is clearly the better and more talented and accomplished player..........he's homegrown, was drafted by the team, and spent his formative playing years here............the other guy was just traded over and given a big contract.

Yes a few games ago. That is a few games ago closer than the last time Steve Francis dove into the stands for a ball.

Does Tracy's attitude not bother you guys?

With Steve, even as a much lesser talent, I always knew
he was going to give it his all because he cared about his fans
    and Houston in general.......

With Tracy, well, I am not gonna speculate (and piss off alot of Tracy fans)
but I tell you now, something is dead wrong with the way he goes about
    playing this game.....

I think just about everyone has moved on. But you can't answer a legitimate question without bringing up the past. And the gist is simple: Tracy has mailed in more games the past two months than Francis did as a Rocket, period.

For all his flaws, no one questioned Francis' effort night to night.

I won't argue that we'd be better off with Francis than Tracy - we wouldn't have been. But Francis, Yao, Battier, Clyde (and others)....those guys I respect and admire.

These concerns have zero to do with Steve Francis, though. I had enough concerns with Steve Francis, as well.

which would be awesome if he could find the court.

    but of course that's all someone else's fault...not steve's.
