He played better in the second game and without him on both O and D we would have lost that one. I'm willing to give him time to see if he grows into a leader on this team.
Without his outside shooting we would have lost. They would have been fine without him "driving" and and not finishing. Also, I was disappointed with his defense last night, again.
Just chill. Ariza was signed to develop here. He's not an all star coming in. Comparisons of his value/skill level should be to Battier, not McGrady. He's not our go to guy, but as we saw against GS, can contribute defense, rebounds, assists, and more offense than he ever did in LA. His dribble does need a lot of work, but he is a slasher and should not be our ball handler. Think of all the great former contributing Rockets that we had for around his cost: Juwan Howard, Vin Baker, Clarence Weatherspoon, etc.....some of the biggest dead weight for around 5 mil the rockets have ever seen. He is already worth his money and can only get better.
most definitely of the TMAC of Past. (and....hopefully...."future").... but ya, I cringed every time Trevor drove it to the basket. He almost always found himself out of control with no where to go.
Morey is collecting good role players so the Rockets have trade flexibility when needed. Like when the Celtics traded for K Durant. None of these players we have now are meant to carry the team. Brooks maybe later this season? This is just a tread the water team that will be scrappy. Some of the role players will improve this year some will sink! It is going to be a weed out the culls so we know who to keep and who to trade or ?
just goes to show you how bad this thread actually is, because gucci manne is pretty darned terrible as a rapper. his lyrics are like baha men, only he incorporates drug dealing verses in them instead of dancing lyrics!!!
I guess I don't get all the premature hate. He seems to be doing pretty well to me. To each his own I guess. I am impressed by what he brings to this club. Some of you expecting him to be Kobe or something?
Im actually impressed with trevor. and i cant wait to see how he develops throughout the season. it looks like he learned some things from kobe also because so of his moves looked similar. hopefully he can learn some things from T-Mac and combine it with some of the things he learned from kobe.
judge him next year, he will be amazing if yao comes back and there is someone to kick out to him, not a ball handler, but if we keep battier and him, and get yao back healthy with a developed AB and a 7 foot back up behind yao, we could be deadly in the future, this year may be rough, or we may pull through, either way it's about next year for me, this team just isn't the same without yao
For $5 mln a yr Trevor is steal even in this down economy. All he has to do is work on his handles. This will come with work.. Dude plays D, rebounds, and hustles all night long. Check him out year 3 in his contract and he will give teams the business.
Ariza still needs improvement in many areas, especially dribbling, but tonight is the reason why we sign him.
