He didn't have a guaranteed contract. That's the only reason.

Livingston would probably play like trash on this team. The sickness this team has is contagious. Just ask Ariza's jumper.

He played well in the preseason games though and I remember a good amount of posters wanting to keep him. I think we kept Douglas over him.

Because McHale might have had a subconscious hate for Danny Ainge, and may have decided to release point guards who do more besides stand behind the three point line and dribble the ball up court.

    100% certain.

Everyone plays worse here. It's not a mystery as to why that is.

We'd have Livingston posted up at the 3 point line jacking em up.

Our PG would never make the fade-away shot like this:

Good for Livingston that he went to the Warriors and got himself a ring and is part of an all-time great team that is making history.

Another great move by Daryl Moronic.

I think the roster spot came up to Camby vs Livingston at the time. It was really idiotic to let him go, I have no idea why the guy who takes gambles on Beasley, Josh, Royce White etc. would shy away from Livingston. If you think about it although Morey has done a good job as a whole he has also let some quality talent slip through his fingers, we have lost Batum, Kawhi, Lin (first time) and now Livingston this way. Sometimes the correct action is the obvious one.

This is incorrect. They kept Scott Machado over Livingston, not Camby.

I remember that many of us were bewildered by Levingston's release after a nice training camp with us.

As always, it was probably a cap casualty.

I think it is pretty settled by now that Morey's talents to evaluate a player are pretty average, namely he has hits and misses, no better or worse than your average GM. Morey shines when it comes to numbers irt to the cap.

At the time many of us said it was a bad call, and we were right. But people make mistakes and Morey is a person. I still think his positives outweigh the mistakes.

He was already recovered, we cut him to save money, many of us were upset.

    Our org is cheap.

Because Scott Machado was lighting the world on fire LoL. Morey has no foresight. How can he call himself a gm when he let Aaron Brooks, Kyle Lowry, Goran Dragic, Ish Smith, Jeremy Lin, Ty Lawson and Livingston go? With the exception of Ish Smith those are playoff starting point guards. What's one of our biggest weaknessess? Point guard. This is why we have chemistry issues now, no one can be on this roster long enough to get comfortable. And at the time I was spam emailing the Rockets on a daily basis "keep Livingston" but Morey has not patience. Where is Scott Machado now anyway? EWE Baskets Oldenburg of the Basketball Bundesliga, but Livingston just whipped our ass. #FireMorey
