The Rockets gave up nowhere near that value for Durant. Jalen Green was at best a neutral value on his current contract, and Dillon Brooks was worth one first-round pick at the time. The only other first-round pick the Suns got in the trade was number 10 in the 2025 draft (Khaman Malauch).
We agree on Dillon (1) and #10 (2), but we disagree on Green's value.(I value him and his contract at 2) Btw - I think Malauch is soft...don't like that pick at all.
Jalen Green on his current contract is not worth three first-round picks. That wasn’t the case in the summer, and it still isn’t the case now. The Suns wouldn’t get that for him today if they traded him.
Your original post said five first-round picks and five second-round picks. If Brooks is worth one and pick 10 was worth one, that meant Green was worth three. Regardless, I don’t agree that Green on his current contract is worth two first-round picks today nor was he worth that in the offseason. Not with the apron rules.
