Why did we foul when down by 1 with 35 secs left?

Garcia was the only reason we were even that close. He shut down Durant.

Correction: it was Thunder's ball with exactly 28.7 seconds on the shot clock.

So if OKC shoots the very last second, the rockets, if lucky, may have rebounded it with something like 1 to 2 seconds left. But i'm sure the OKC would have tried just hit the ball away with 1 hand and save more time.

Garcia's foul is not a mistake but just a decision between two choises:
-or be -2 or -3 with 12 seconds left and have a ball
-or be -1 with 1-2 seconds left and with a small chance of OKC outrebounding or making a 3-pointer and burying us down.

In general, I do think that first option is more reasonable. Just rockets had to foul with 20 seconds left.

Was it actually at 35? I was there but I'm pretty sure the game clock was only 5 seconds ahead of the actual clock. I think I'd rather foul than be down by 1,3, or even 4 with only 5 seconds left.

I thought they should have fouled sooner.
