I love this. This reminds me of the time ClutchCity.com turned into a Spurs fan site because of Mario Elie. I look forward to these breaking news that only ClutchCity (ClutchFans now I guess) can bring.

The report said that the signing occurred yesterday. Yesterday was March. It's real.

This has to be a joke, there's nothing on ESPN.COM about that article, even if u search for any article on Ryan Bowen on ESPN.COM, there is no result in the whole that has that article, and why when u hit the link clutchfans is in the url? This has to be a joke. And why are all the senior members agreeing with the move and saying all this b.s. Please let this be a joke. TELL US.

You know, while I believe that the influx of so many new posters are dragging down the quality of this bbs to the level of the ESPN boards, I must say it is nice to have some people to believe believe in this joke every year.

I don't know...I've been here for a few years, and I've never known Clutch to joke about something like this.

He knows how seriously we all take this team, and he would never want to play with our emotions!

    Nicely played.

The contract is completely resonable though, for the hustles he brings every night.

I think this signing just goes to prove what a team guy Ryan Bowen really is for the Rockets. He could have easily signed a max contract, but Ryan stood up for his team and settled for $54 million. Here's to you, Ryan Bowen!

This is great! A few more signings like this and we'll be dominating the WNBA like there's no tomorrow. :D

In a way, I am glad I was not able to check in to CF until this afternoon.. it's good to really get a feel for the fan reaction to roster moves like this. Memo to the young posters: stop thinking you know more than CD and JVG. If they believe Bowen is worth that much, who are you to argue??

If not for all the far-sighted moves for players like Maloney, Drew, MoTay, EG, Moochie, and Rice, not to mention SF3 and Turkcan, and NOT drafting Rashard, we wouldn't have Yao on the team right now!!

And if we didn't have YAO, would YOU even be here???

    ;)

"He's a career 1.4/1.4 guy and we're just happy to get this behind us," said Van Gundy.

I think this is a great signing. With a toe surgery next year, and some time with Patrick Ewing in the low post, I think Rybo can take it to the next level and with 30 minutes per game average 2.1/2.1 per game. Plus, David Stern is enacting a new rule change for next year that each team MUST have a token caucasian in the starting lineup, what with the low attendance throughout the league and all. So we just wrapped up one the the best young up and coming caucasian players in the league in Rybo. His falling down defense on Jamison last night was a sight to behold! He single handedly won that game for us with his Defense. Way to go Van Gundy! You deserve the next extension!
