The Tmac era is a failure PERIOD (No Ifs, But he was hurt, or Tmac in Orlando) it's a freaking FAILURE. Again, you can blame Yao all you want, it's not over for him. You can say all the Dwight Howard stuff you want cause because of Tmac's crapiness, the good fans of Orlando have a decent team again. it FAILED there too. it FAILED in Toronto. Not winning a series = failure Not wanted by your team = failure Not wanted by your coach = failure When Trevor Ariza gets more playing time than you?? = failure You are lucky we are Rockets fans, cause the Spurs and Lakers fans will laugh at you for thinking Tmac in Houston was anything but a failure.
When the Car made IN CHINA > the Car made in AMERICA, it's time sell that American car to CARMAX. SUPER FAILURE. We're talking worse than a Dodge Reliant.
Lets go over the Yao Failures Goes down at crucial times-Check Misses an entire season-Check Gets paid to stay in China-Check Lowers his performance in the playoffs-Check
Nope, if they BOTH only work half the time you get rid of BOTH. Last thing you want is one to break down on you in the most crucial time. (Playoffs) With that said, I'd still keep Yao after next season if he takes a big pay cut. If not, dangle him in trade talks next season to a team willing to take a risk or one in need of max expiring money.
Personally the only era worth talking about is Hakeem's pre-trade. People are going to see this thing in whatever light that makes their argument correct. Each season that we didn't win a ring is a failure. If you justify winning a round then it pretty much says that you knew that your team wasn't that good to start or a way of coping. If you think any elite team vying for a championship finds solace in getting out of the first round then I am wanting to learn of them. Most of the names that are thrown around here i.e., Kobe, Wade, LeBron, Hamilton and so forth are about winning. They are not happy with anything less but it appears that many of you who have used their names for others purposes may have forgotten that. I find that this is the best set of role players that we have had in over ten years minus the length argument. I find that our stars have not been durable for full seasons including the playoffs. These arguments while entertaining are futile. This city has been starving for any type of success, so I see where those who harp on the second round thing could be coming from. But as an competitor, getting the ring is what matters to me. When this team gets a ring then we've got something to make a thread about but until then we'll have threads that reek of low expectations, marginal excuses and unnecessary name calling. Carry on...
too bad that's not the topic, you can start that thread dude, why don't you? are you afraid like Tmac being blocked from behind on a breakaway against the Bucks?
Pffft. You act like these Adidas NBA2k10 playing people know who the hell Hakeem is! Have you heard? It's not if you have won a championship! It's but if he was healthy and he had some good role players he would have won a championship! Kobe Championship < What if Tmac Championships see the formula is this: If I had played with a Shaq =1 championship If you switch me out with Paul Pierce = 1championship If I had a Tim Duncan =1 championship see? he ALREADY has 3 IMAGINARY CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS!
Yao had me pulling my hair out that game. Boozer grabbed like 3 offensive boards in a row over him just the last minute of the game. Please take it away its just too unpleasant.
I want to know why you made a thread asking for people's opinions, and when their opinion disagrees with yours, you throw a tantrum. It's obvious you wanted to bash T-mac and blame him for the failure of the Rockets to get past the first round with him, and that you believe T-mac is the sole reason why the Rockets failed, so why did you have to make a thread about it, if you knew the reason already?
let me translate the original post: Tmac is a selfish piece of **** and i hate him and hes the only reason we've been losing in the playoffs in the past 5 years, and i hate him more and i really hate him.. o ya did i mention i think tmac is a piece of ****?..
Neither are you. It was my damn opinion. You don't know what he's going to do with Yao either so don't play like you do.
Honestly, Yao is more at fault then T-Mac. There's no way you can blame playoff failures on T-Mac. He's elevated his game to ridiculous heights. He's given it all every single playoffs and he has dominated. His supporting cast has sucked. Yao has missed as many playoffs as T-Mac. And honestly, Yao has been nowhere near as good as T-Mac in the playoffs.
Bad management should have been another option. We've just about left that era due to Morey's shrewd decision-making but there was a time when the Rockets kept screwing themselves with bad contracts and equally bad draft picks. Since Morey's been at the helm, he's been slowly undoing that mess through wise contract negotiations, good trades and smart draft picks (or draft day moves).
