He was a fool to leave. He miscalculated that situation badly. It's a shame.

    To the OP's Q-

-I would assume that there's probably some Philly fan podcast that went into free agency down the bench, and maybe one of the podcasters went on a rant about how KMJ might not be worth bringing back because of drama with his father, etc. etc.

I've heard people in the media that are around the younger players around the league say things like the players first thing they do when they get back to the locker room is check their phones to see if they are trending, etc. Then we had the situation here just a few weeks ago with Jalen Green sliding into Roosh's DM's, and going back and forth with him.

KMJ I'm guessing is reacting to something like that. Probably just the Philly equivalent of a Clutchfans poster.

He's probably looking at Daishen Nix sitting on the TWolves bench in the WCF and is like - him? really?

Ppl wanted Stone fired for trading a guy who isn't getting any PT on his current team. Didn't hear anything about the "Stone/Witus" trade of KMJ, Stone only got criticism lol

You saw how Amen played his spot well, seems KMJ got a big head and finally realized it was better to play than to sit.

This is not true at all, DD. Anyone that watched K-Mart closely throughout his career knows that he was damn near a basketball genius, especially If you love defense. Guy could switch, talk, not foul, pull the chair, etc. Incredibly intelligent defender. Chuck Hayes level, but with a vertical.

"One of the smartest players I had..." - Byron Scott

"There are not better defenders than Kenyon Martin 1 on 1" - Jeff Van Gundy

    Etc...

When he was on the Nets, they'd put him on Kobe/Vince/Jordan, etc. in clutch situations because he was super freaking smart. Could navigate screens and avoid fouls.

Sublime freaking defense from beginning to end.

Imagine if someone had said at the end of last season that Daishen Nix would be playing in the NBA finals this year. Of course, he'll only actually play if there's a blowout, but still...

And yes, I'm picking Minny to get past the Dallas Cubans.

KMJ isn'tt good enough to play quality minutes on the Rockets next year. We'll have the three taken care of one way or another. We're going to win 50 next year.
