It's not always like this at the other two Fry's is it? Parking was hell anyones..we cleaned out the store and bought tons of stuff I was looking out for you Miguel but there were so many damn employees lol
I love it when Fry's have ridiculous sales. I live literally 5 minutes away from the Fry's on I-45 and West Rd, so I'm hoping to land a job there in a few weeks when my first year at college is over with.
lol, I was moving around all day too. I probably had a total of 4 registers today. Even through all the insanity, I had all my receipts, I was even on my cash, and will be getting comission from the registers for friday/saturday/sunday and so on.
I went to Fry's today and bought a router. I also bought a Dummie's book. I was the dummy for buying the book at Fry's. It was $22 bucks. Tonight I checked online and found I could have gotten the same book for about $14 bucks...$16 after shipping costs. Damn you Fry's, damn you.
I asked about you, but you were on a break. I had about 30 minutes to kill before I had to leave for a dr. appointment. Fry's was on the way, so I dropped in a picked up the surround sound panasonic headphones. B
Building a rack mount, 4 HD system for music a few years ago, I momentarily hesitated between W98 & XP. I bought the W98, changed my mind within 3 days and never open the package. Some jerk with a god complex that Fry's calls something like "The Head Person in Charge" wouldn't take the W98 back because MSoft in their infinite wisdom puts a registration number on the outside of the packaging. I was informed that my issue was with MS and I quickly responded "No, your issue is with MS 'cause I'll never set foot in one of your stores again". I haven't and I won't. EVER.
Sorry to hear that. I believe every eletronics retailer would probably do the same though. I've heard some horror stories about Fry's though, and I can see lots of them being true. *tries to change company from the inside...although he's only one of 400 people in this store alone*
If the Reg # is on the outside of all the boxes, then ALL of the boxes are basically worthless.. cause any dip walking by can snag that code and use it. What you should do is take it back and say "I didn't notice that the registration number was printed on the outside, this product was therefor unfit to sell to me in much the same instance that you are not supposed to by food products with an open seal"
Maybe. What you're not seeing here that the "person in charge" saw is that I am physically/visually the antithesis of a slick hustler and that the receipt for the OEM OS was nestled amongst multiple HD's, a very expensive motherboard and about $400 worth of assorted SCSI rackmount goodies. If I would have used the W98 registration and returned it, IMHO there is enough POS data to trace it back to me. What we're fundamentally talking about here is trust. Essentially, I was told I was a crook. Perhaps you will conduct yourself businesswise with more empathy and insight. Not possible. Fry's keeps their OEM OS in the warehouse until the sale. And then they mumble something about non-returnable as you're paying for it.
