I donated a while back and was given the contributing member title, and the perks that come with it. I recently went back to try and edit one of my posts and realized I cannot anymore. I also noticed my title just says "Member" now. Is there a reason why this happened? Do I need to add to the tipjar again? I am happy to support this site if that is the case but was just curious as to why this happened.
No, the donation bump doesnt expire, but you can lose the ability to edit and whatnot if you get punished by Clutch for something. If you havent gotten negatives or infractions from the board, then you might want to send an email to Clutch to ask him .
aaahh have we been playing with the tags? If you showed a repeated pattern of doing so, it would not surprise me if he placed you in the restricted group. The only way to find out for sure is to ask him, I'm guessing here.

I don't remember ever editing tags but don't have that ability. Is that something that everyone has unless it is removed?
Oh wait.... EDITing tags is not something any of y'all could ever do. You can tag it as a thread submitter or as a poster, but once they are listed as tags only mods can edit the list. I thought you meant just tagging a thread. My misunderstanding
Yeah, I think he meant just tagging. I lost the ability too and I'm sure it was completely deserved. I have no issue with it. Well, NM. Works now. I just put "tag" up there and it worked.
One can add two tags to a thread, normally, which is accessible from the "Edit Tags" link. (One cannot edit tags added by others.) Some irresponsible jokesters abused this feature to add very silly and/or mocking tags to threads and subsequently lost the ability to add those two tags to a thread. Like yours truly .
