Why did Hasheem Thabeet and Jonny Flynn not make it to Portland before today?

I seriously doubt either one of them cared enough to actually try to get there in a hurry.

They got 48 hours, they probably figured to use every ounce of it.

Mehmet Okur and Shawne Williams had to have had physicals because Gerald Wallace played.

 

What are the rules here? Do they have a certain time to report by? It just seems like we're looking at it in a way that benefits Houston. Perhaps the team told them there was no hurry, since they were away.

EDIT-just saw DD's post....sure they could have been there faster, but if they're within the 48 hrs, it's professional enough...

I do not know about you, but when I do not have to be to work or school I do not rush myself to get there.

The NBA give all players 48 hours, get over it, imo.
